Mourning the loss of my marriage and the life I knew for the last 15 years tonight - I know the brother’s music well but this particular concert came to my playlist by chance tonight - but every song had new meaning and was exactly the combination my heart needed to hear to start to process and hopefully begin to purge the cloud of pain that the last 800 days has brought to my life. May forgiveness and compassion replace what was growing there before. Thank you to the boys for urging me to step back into the light.

There's just something organic about the Avett Brothers that grabs my musical soul! They are genuine, diverse and truly talented. I have only seen them in concert twice, so far. Incredible stage presence!
Cannot get enough when seeing these beautiful boys singing their truth..what a magic life that has been entwined into their music..humble and in tune with how to live a life of creative melodies..thankyou so much for what you bring to others who can't get enough of what give..
Im so grateful that I came across these guys 6 years ago on an old I pod touch I bought from a pawn shop. They speak to my heart and soul. I hear different thi gs in the sames songs when I need to hear it. Thank you for opening my eyes to the fears in my life.
Their music seems to find the people who need it. At a time when I was listening nonstop to the "I and Love and You" album, I used the valet parking service at the hospital; something I rarely do. I left the cd in the player, and when I picked up the car, the valet asked me about the music. She had stayed in the car for the length of one song and was so struck that she wanted to buy the album so she could hear it again. I think the Avett Brothers find a lot of fans through happenstance!
Well put! Someone in a FB group asked recently what makes us different. It's hard to put my finger on it.. but I know I always feel opened up to my feelings with their music and it's cathartic for me. Always good to hear people who get it...

Whenever I watch these guys play - whether it's live or video - it instantly captivates me. And it makes my eyes water up - go figure. Not sure why the tears, but the spirit in these brothers keeps me captivated until they're done playing. Love their writing. Love their playing. Love their energy. And love their passion for the music.

Probably the best concert I've ever witnessed...Thank you UTube...Presentation/Deliverance, lyrics, common folk classic perfection...If the Brothers conti ue this path, many of us will make it to heaven in every sense of the word...
I wish I was there to see them perform that show, up close and personal. I am so…. Jealous! The Avett brothers and the band play so great together. I am going to New York (Queens) in may to see them for the first time and the opening act will be Sierra Ferrell. I can’t tell how excited I am to be able to see such great talent ❤️
I now know who Mumford& Sons got their style and inspiration from “I and Love and You”is all that U.K. radio play, witch is good but they have got so much more to offer 👍❤️🎶🎸🪕
This "Ladies Night" audience greatly under-appreciates the brilliance of this performance! For all the bottles of wine on those tables, you'd think they'd be getting a bit crazy.
They certainly have that affect on people! Go catch a show live when you can. They are one of the best live shows I've ever seen (and I've seen a BUNCH!)
This is the best performance of the Ballad of Love and Hate I've ever seen. Kudos to Seth for recognizing the opportunity with a quiet audience. Hands down one of their best concerts overall.
After being a fan of their studio Albums for years, I never thought to check out these live videos. What an interesting stage presence... Do their songs lend well to improv or banter with the audience? Hmmmm

The first time I heard them, I wrote down a name , and it was Townes Van Sandt. It turns out that I’m not the only one who saw that wonderful comparison and maybe The Avett Brothers are totally unaware.

I love these guys. They all work hard to please their fans. I’m a new fan. The first song I heard of theirs is No Hard Feelings. It hit a spot in my life that I was really wondering about the afterlife and how a person moves from one place to the other. I would like for them to introduce all the band. I’m sure time is short and they want to do as many songs as they can fit in, but I felt sad that the other band members were not getting any recognition. Great show! Maybe some day a live show.
They love their whole band. If you haven't seen it check out the Judd Apatow documentary of them making I and Love and You album with Rick Ruben. Its on Amazon and called "May it Last".... lots of tears watching that doc and all that Bob and the band went through with Bob's daughter's diagnosis. A Friend just turned me on to these guys. Just Unbelievable!!! Love this so much!! Such Great lyrics and Harmonies! For me they're a cross between Mumford & Sons and The Band. Such Awesome talent! Thanks so much for posting.
I've been fortunate to hear them several times here in North Carolina. They had a regular New Year's eve in Charlotte, and my wife introduced me to them. Their stage presence is outstanding. I initially didn't think they were to my taste, but I quickly learned otherwise. Since then I've seen them at several festivals and concerts. They are excellent!
Sounds like a major belief in God band...or belief in spiritual..or natural things...wct...or something's of such...can relate...I like that connection...
