David Childers is one of the best songwriters in America!!! I am glad that people are hearing him! He also kicks ass singing it!! Go get them David!!! Curtis
The power of this song and the Avett Brothers.......This song makes me smile about my ex-wife. We did our honeymoon improvised up the PCH. The first town had a seaside bar we went to. This song reminds me of the good times. Even of they ended.
Still listening, and even playing ALONGSIDE My Heroes, Scott and Seth Avett with my Band, Black Water Boogie from Jackson, Ms. on Playlists on Spotify, AppleMusic, here on RU-vid Music etc., and this published 6 days after my 18th birthday and the Day I Graduated my freshman Year at MSU, where I first heard these two brothers' Genius writing, picking, and Singing, which inspired me to buy and learn on my first 5- string Banjo, and today, because of The Avett Brothers, I am proudly Signed to Ark Studios Media Group with my 5 piece band, Touring the South, and have even recieved State and National Music Awards and Recognition. Thank God for The Avett Brothers, and God Bless the whole Avett family and Band!
12 years gone by, the world has changed, the brothers have definitely changed, technology has changed, my RU-vid channel has changed, but my old comment still holds up!!
Props to Childers for writing a beautiful song. Cheers to the Brothers for making life-changing music. Can't wait for a new album! Throw us some more teasers!
He has a good amount of songs on older albums, it's just that a lot of those songs didn't really fit his voice too good, his best was probably "the day marvin gaye died"
ชิสา มงคลธีรโชติ still my favorite band too. There's so much talent unless you're a musician it's a little hard to explain all the elements but they are musical geniuses
Absolutely wonderful boys!!!! I LOVE the three part harmony!!! I was in a hair salon today, just on the spur. I said I was going to Gulf Shores and a guy behind me said he'd just gotten back from there. I asked if he'd been to the festival down there...he said yes. I said I missed my favorite band by only a few days. He asked who and I told him the Avetts. He freaked out and said, "THEY"RE MY FAVORITE BAND TOO!!! That's why I drove down there." Random Avett fan encounter, lol. Have a good un'.
Hi I live in the UK I was recently on a cruise and came across a video -Another Day- filmed in New York. I just wanted to thank you all for bringing so much joy in to my life I replayed and replayed it I have struggled with the guitar for many years but sadly I haven’t music in me ,you make it seem so natural.Once again many many thanks Yours Peter. PS I’m 82 but still loving it
I miss the days you played smaller venues. This feels very intimate. Great job you guys! That said, I've seen you twice at Whitewater outside Austin, and LOVED it!!
Absolutely stunning video and cover of a great song. Comes close, very close, to the boys' performances of this song at Red Rocks, CO and Salt Lake City, UT this July.
so true.. but they have such a great message i think everyone would benefit from listening to them! instead of swearing and sex and drugs, people would listen to music about morals, falling in love and growing up, etc.
i would jizz my pants if the avetts putt out a cover album with all the covers they do on here plus some others. i would double jizz my pants if they would put out their own new album. i don't mean to rush them or anything but i just can't get enough of these guys. the music is so good, the voices so simple, and the lyrics so sincere. they're fantastic. plain and simple
