Man, I love Dazai so much. He goes from complete and utter buffon to the most cold, calculating and ruthless bastard on the room in the blink of an eye. Kunikida is just as badass.

Kunikida is such a fun character. His ability is less combat oriented than Akutagawa or Atsushi's, but he still holds his own through creativity and strategy.

I love how they lowkey think Dazai is annoying but like...he's the type of character you don't want to get serious, either. I love these reactions, they're all so hype!

Since this a episode mostly about Kunikida I’ll just drop some fun facts about one of my favorite character- -Kunikida is actually younger than Dazai (2 months) -He is a college dropout -He is quite naive

I love how no one is talking about how this 2 episode arc was the first light novel animated, but with Atsushi thrown into it. The first light novel, written by the same mangaka who wrote the series, wrote 8 light novels. The first one was Dazai's entrance exam before officially joining the agency after he had left the Port Mafia. There's 7 others, one of which is called Beast, and it's basically an opposite AU where Atsushi is in the Port Mafia and Akutagawa is in the agency plus a couple other things changed. P.S. Odasaku is still alive in this AU, he meets AKutagawa by the river, much like Atsushi met Dazai by the river. Dazai in this AU is also the Port Mafia boss, which I find really cool and interesting.
