Good outline. One consideration I'd have at least for the set 1 meta, might not be as applicable for subsequent sets, is space as its own category probably around the same spot as Openings. Most draft decks seem to end up rather weak in that arena, and having a few solid cards there can really lock down an entire arena for you and provide great value. Depending on rarity of good space cards in subsequent sets or introduction of leaders that are deployed to the space arena this could change dramatically, but with no space leaders right now and many draft decks only having 4-5 space cards in many cases there's a value inefficiency there that can be exploited.
Very good video. I love draft and want to get more people into it. But newcomers to draft often don't know what to pick and don't usually do well which turns some people off of the format. I try to give them similar tips to this but your method is a very elegant way to summarize it. I'll be borrowing this from now on. Thank you!
I had to come back because I just started reading Iron Fist and Baron Fel popped up and I got inordinately excited because of this system hahah Thanks again for this TNN!
Once again you have my gratitude. I have this saved now to recap when ever my local store runs a draft and follow BARON like a religion, it just works every time. Won with Tarkin Yellow, all games were won 2-0 and the enemy never came close, most damage I ever took was 18 vs a sabine. Beat Jyn Erso round 1. Sabine round 2 Krenic round 3
The mercenary companies and all the other ambush I had was king. No matter how well my opponent did even if they controlled the board up to turn 4. As soon as the ambushes started rolling out they could never stop the deck. And tarkin would uncontrollably start boosting the imperial units
Used the side AT-RT vs sabine instead of resupply. And used the power of the dark side and vanish vs Krenic just to make sure their big threats were dead. Scout bike i kept as thought it might be a good counter boosting it up to fight chewie decks people were playing. I ended up with a few blue cards because it was a choice between Krenic and Tarkin during pack 1 and thought I'd go tarkin blue, but ended up with better of yellow ambush and removal
In my area most (though not all) stores are out of product on the shelves, but several of those stores set some product aside for Limited and prizing, and the current small-scale restocks are I think often getting sent that way as well. As a result, draft is still quite available here -- I just played two drafts last week and will probably play another two this week!
@@TowerNumberNine Nice! I'm in the Central Texas area. We have a dozen+ stores running SWU and no one is running draft. Only a few still have product to give out as prize support for premier.
