My step father is a police officer and as you may know he carries a lot of gear. I wonder if he would be interested in something like this. Can't imagine carrying all that equipment every day. Awesome idea from those guys. Love the posts. Learn a lot. Thanks.
That's an awesome set up, back pain sucks and this will for sure help. Thanks for sharing brother. And I gotta say, I'm a big fan of the birds in The background.
you should find you have some digestive improvement also with a looser belt. just switching to a galco leather belt and a larger size pant really helped.
That is why cowboys wore hip holsters. (Revolvers) But this does look like a nice system....$200 is a chunk of change but if it helps the back pain its worth it.
Thanks for the video Pete. Great product! You'd be more comfortable with a Under Armor compression undershirt. It doesn't move around at all. Then you can put the back defender on top of that. Give it a try.
Looks like a solid rig... & if I don't get my ass to tha gym I will be needing one soon. Seems like since I hit my mid 30z nothing fits comfortable like it used to.
You need to get a belt from SOE (special operations equipment) especially because you have a little extra weight it fits perfect not to tight not loose its perfect
As a man who also is fighting the battle of the 'bulge', and has to wear a heavy duty belt, this looks like exactly what I need...well, almost. I have to wear a white shirt, and that will show like a sore thumb. Maybe under my armor? Trying to keep my pants up anymore, is like trying to put a gun belt on a beach ball; it just keeps going south. Thanks for the tip!
Nice! It looks like you need a second person to initially adjust the system so you can stand straight up and they can snug and loosen the ties to customize.
Nice video, I appreciate you making this for us who have to wear things on our belt, and do not want our pants falling down. Flashlights, survival gear like a survival knife, many things that you need right away and no time to dig in a back pack that shouldnt be painful to wear. Already too much to wear, Necessary tools that need to be handy fast need to be on your utility belt , they cannot hurt your back and you need your pants to stay up. I am talking survival gear, but it is the same in law enforcement.. minus the handcuffs, and a survival knife replaces a gun and bullets. I have a small 50 pound pull crossbow and bolts.. even though this is light it takes room. Some things can be hung on a back pack but fast access? I am trying to figure out a system for heavy carry when camping / hiking and then light day to day.
great setup pete my only concern is if your like me I have to take a crap every couple hours was wondering if there was a way to slide them down like suspenders to use the bathroom? any thoughts?
I have used H harness systems before and they make all the difference in the world. The average LEO duty belt weighs 9 lbs. 9 lbs + 8(+) hours = not fun lol. Even my CCW G27 appendix carried, ends up resting on my junk by the end of the day if my belt is not cranked tight. Glock + junk = never good lol!
I feel for you brother.. too tight and pinched nerves and smothering and pressure on the tummy, looser pants are falling down... then there isall the stuff hanging on the belt. I am looking for an over belt for my heavey equipment, with weight distributing suspenders. I do not care about how bulky the belt but i like less wide and strong. I will use it for survival gear.. no gun.. maybe a small crossbow and bolts and a slingshot. The shrade f10 survival knife is a bit heavy.. I need to figure out all the things I can carry on a duty belt with suspenders, little things on my reg belt.. might even need suspenders on my pants too. Then a back pack. I am trying to make a survival gear set that is comfortable, so I can carry things yet keep my pants on lol. This looks good to keep my pants up, then an over tactical belt with load bearing suspenders for heavier gear, then the back pack. hmmm thats a lot of stuff on my shoulders back and weight. I am going to figure it out.
Holy shit this is exactly what I need for work. I work in the armed security field and my company wont allow duty suspenders because they prevent me from being able to tuck my shirt in unless they are on the outside of my uniform shirt (which the company won't allow). Thank you for reviewing and revealing this awesome piece of kit for those of us who gotta lug around a bunch of crap for a living!
Mr45Bullitt I really feel for you guys. I miss matt too but i didnt know him as well as you guys. I never realized how much i cared about all of you guys until we lost matt. I coudnt believe i cared so much about a guy i never met.
GunGlutton Thanks my friend. I talked with Matt almost weekly and it was our plan for Pete,Matt and I to get together. Miss him a LOT. He was a very decent and honorable man. Thanks!
as a fellow bigger guy with back problems (3 degenerative discs), this sounds awesome... But, how does it feel when sitting down? And when maneuvering is there a shit ton of velcro noise?
Cool device. And, if you have a baby i'm sure you can rig that little fucker right on the front, and look like Alan from the handover. A little tactical baby.
Yeah i checked them out almost $200 for some suspenders? Thier out of thier damn minds. The best police belt suspenders only cost $50 to $60. Ill wear my suspenders on the outside for that price
XYZ Examine Your Zipper Your fly its open. What you and Erick do of camera is up to you. I just do not feel like watching you two flirt like that. Hahahaha. Could not resist
I like that but it’s expensive for me.so....I wear a 6$ thin suspenders from Walmart to hold my pants then I slide my kydex inside my pants. I have no ass and I’m fat, let me tell you it was a struggle.. 😂😂😂
Wow Pete, now you can have a second helping of lasagna! Or a couple of cannolis! It really hides how fat you are. How does it feel to breathe again? You look great with your back defense support system. Lol
Where'd You Get All Of The Prison Tattoo's Pete??? :) Lol... I Didn't Know Gun Shop's Hired Felons??? I May Have A Chance To Be Legally Employed Now!!! :) :-) =)
Looks like a fantastic product but 224$ is so steep. Duty belt kills my back, I would love this but there is no way I'm dropping 200 bones on this. Any deals or discounts out there?
Seems like a very specialized system. Might work for certain types. For me when I use to wear duty gear back in the day I never had issues with weight but then again I was only 165lbs in those days LOL but I can see how this can assist.
Awesome harness Pete! Hey do you know if they sell those Thrunite flashlights at any major stores? Or do they only sell online? I would really like to check one out. Thanks
This is exactly what I needed, I carry an FNX 45 and this thing is heavy. I had to poke an extra hole in my belt just to keep my pants from sagging. Awesome video!
Nice product. Hope it helps with your back issue. Back pain sucks. As a plus you can take off your shirt after work and stop for a beer at Octoberfest (in a couple of months)and you'll fit rite in!!! Just make sure to wear shorts that day!
yea this would work for me well. I too deal with pain in my ankles and back. I think I have a pinched nerve. The thing about carry is you have to have your belt sinched up pretty tite and that causes you to be uncomfortable. well me. This would do 2 things 1 hold my firearm in place very well and keep my pants up with no binding of my belt. Pete I would suggest getting some Water wicking shirts as under shirts. Loose the cotton if you plan to have undershirts. You can get them at walmart for like 6-8 bucks give them a shot and you will be amazed for the comfort and how well they breath. I use them on my mountain bike and outdoor work. and they breath so nicely vs cotton.
Hey, Pete--they make a stuff that you can apply to rafters, beams, etc., that repels birds. The stuff burns their feet--so they hang out somewhere else. The maintenance man used it where I live. It works. Don't know what it is called. Great video--I could use that product.
I just ordered one! I haven't really experienced back pain working in law enforcement yet but I know it's coming. I got one because I was tired of having to pull my pants up all the time. The weight of my belt always pulls them down while running and what not.
I think that will fit my needs! I have back troubles too, and my leg goes to sleep when my belt is snugged up too. I will be checking it out..... Thanks Pete.
