The scene where the Hazmat guys end up on a empty sitcom studio and there's the laugh track from nowhere is amazing. Really cool idea for a backrooms level
@@JudeMichaelPeterson It's a crowd-sourced fictional setting, kind of like SCP. It initially started as textual descriptions and photographs of "liminal spaces", and has gradually evolved into videos like these and a few video games. The idea itself is loosely based on the concept of "no clipping" and level mods for first-person video games, and unused office spaces. Nobody really owns it, but there are a few prolific content creators like the author of this video.
These characters don't got fear in their instincts. The first thing they do is walk forward into the darkness with no knowledge of what's gonna happen or who's there. They're hilarious mortals
The exploration seems haphazard rather than systematic. Their total lack of basic self-preservation reflexes puzzles me. They have their exploratory mission at heart, but still: one guy going it alone should not ever happen. Sorry buddy, no budget for a second two-man team - you'll have to take that elevator alone, with your pet suitcase for company ! That leaves a lot of room for filming the management meetings where the suited guys' ordeals are planned: I want to see the perfectly rational bureaucratic process that settles on the decisions to send those guys into the yellow meatgrinder !
I know right? I can easily imagine Async using something like that when setting up a research outpost in the backrooms. Seeing hazmat guys roll out equipment like hose reels and golf cars to handle the technical challenge of exploring the backrooms might be my favourite aspect of backrooms videos.
Agreed. So many layers of texture to the detail in this iteration of the backrooms. Good storyteloing, identifiable characters, some new interpretations of known levels and levels I'm not familiar with, and what the fuck was that approaching orange glow?
@@Neithie I was going to say something about that, but just now the video got to the part with the dead guy in the elevator, & it cracked me up. It's four times funnier now. I can't stop laughing, & the house here is supposed to be quiet at this hour. Backrooms humor just woke up a disabled guy i care for. Positive waves everywhere.
The room with the guy watching in secret was terrifying, the fact that there was no interaction between the guys in hazmat and this guy gave me cold sweats ! 🥶💀
@@I_am_a_cat_ of f ing course ive seen the original but this feels different, it's like watching a tv shoe and the whole story starts and ends within the same episode. Kanes story is huge and is covered in small snippets through every video
Really love the dialogue in these videos. The pacing and the comedic timing is impeccable. A masterclass in the horror of the unknown breathing down our necks.
@@masterhaterbater5927 it used to be. It was supposed to give you an existiential dread feeling. Eerie. Just endless rooms and no way out for eternity. but some people thought that too boring and had to add characters into it to give it a “story”. That wasn’t the point of the back rooms. It’s supposed to be a feeling of see similar surroundings and still not knowing where you are. That’s it. A short horror story. Not that this genre of the back rooms is bad I love it but idk. Even adding characters adds a sense of comfort to me
I think this is the first time I've seen one of your videos look serious instead of comedic.(Asides from some stuff here & there at the beginning) Pretty impressive. Always something interesting to watch when you post new videos. Can't wait for whatever is next whether more comedy or something I guess slightly serious.
Man I love the Backrooms Cinematic Universe (BCU), very cool, and I love it how there's more discussion & dialogue in these compared to the others. People are actually talking to each other about what they are seeing instead of just shrugging it off.
I love this shift from short, kid-friendly silly too, longer more dark and creepy, classic Backrooms vibe, while keeping the comedy, very nice, good job, keep it up.
Comparing this video to your very first ones of the backrooms, it's easy to say not only have you improved in your animation skills, but in just about every department there is with the backrooms. Your mix of interesting visuals and characters and something unique compared to other backrooms content. The bits of comedy here was also a nice touch as well! On a side note, it's weirdly refreshing to see a backrooms animation that has hazmat suit guys in different colored outfits compared to the usual.
You are the best!! Keep going or maybe you should even make full length movie. Would be awesome. My favourite themes are those with swimming pools if someone asks :p.
A new Render video is honestly a bigger deal for me than a Kane video. Render, you are the Clown Prince of the Backrooms. 🃏 This might be a change of pace, though . . darker? We love you, Render.
Definitely the most unique backrooms video I’ve seen so far. Interesting levels and story and use of old backrooms lore such as the elevators and (what I believe to be) The Faceling Entity on the level somewhat resembling the hotel area of the shady grey. Still leaves quite a bit of mystery, and overall the perfect mix of both comedy and eerie backrooms horror. Great job!

This one was pretty cool. It was actually rather creepy and uncanny instead of being weird and comical like many of your other videos. Not that your other Backrooms videos are bad or anything, but I like the tone and atmosphere this one was going for. Also it didn't devolve into an entity chase and the ending was quite ambiguous, which makes me want to see a continuation of this.
After hearing the announcement of The Backrooms movie being produced by A24 I got extremely excited, but also disappointed because you're not the one making it. You're videos have a certain aesthetic and style that other videos on the Backrooms don't. Especially with the humor, even within the most terrifying circumstances I still find myself laughing my ass off. I tell you what, I'd pay top dollar to watch The Backrooms film made by you!
You know I've never seen someone make a faceling in a Backrooms video like this. Good job RtR! I also love seeing this series have installments that have actual plots.
This is what I consider to be a great balance of Classic and Modern Backrooms. You are more afraid of the unknown, but when there is something there you’re not quite sure how to react. One of the things I never understand is why they always feel like they should run off in random directions rather than systematically expending their options first. Like in the first elevator trying each level before going to a different elevator.
Honestly, I love your style! As in your story style, how it’s still funny and lighthearted but shows tidbits of the horrors and lore of the backrooms, it was funny in the beginning but it led a story of mystery…what killed them? It’s awesome seeing you expand the story of the backrooms in your own way and adding your own spin to this!
This exemplified the horror more than any other series. They're always so try hard and over the top with this creature or that creature. Just going through and getting lost in endless architecture. That's what stirs the creepiness. Nice job.
I like how he forgets the crime scene that he literally is still standing in and delivers the wrong evidence instead of the evidence he collected 4 seconds prior.
I check all the time to see if you’ve made any new Backrooms content. I absolutely LOVE it! Best on RU-vid. Love the comedy you put in them. The hazmat guys are hilarious in all your videos, even if they do get killed occasionally. Keep at it.
just here to say this stuff is awesome. and not just awesome, it keeps getting better. the character behaviour is so unique too. please keep doing what you're doing!
