As someone from Wisconsin who went to HobbyTown a few years back, I am beyond shocked that I was at the original building, that out of all the buildings in the world, this piece of history is here, an hour from my home, in my childhood state, it is awesome.
im friends with the current owner of the building and we have spoke about doing a tour soon so we can match up the exact spots ect,,, great video man keep up the awesome work
If u do another lost characters video, please feature Dolly from Bobs Big Boy. Dolly is Big Boys friend from the Adventures of Big Boy comics from 1956 to 1996 and her latest appearance was back in 2020 but she is not a known character or mascot of the Big Boy restaurant chains and was also a hated character back in 2020 because people thought she was replacing Big Boy but it was actually for promotional purposes because of a chicken sandwich called “The Dolly” and she has not been seen in Big Boy restaurants as a mascot since 2020
Hard to imagine its finally been found. Considering how big of an influence it's been on the Internet over the past 5 years. Goes to show how much random things can have massive cultural impacts over time.
@@zeepsterd The Backrooms only began in 2019. The true end of the era will be when/if they finally find JTK's original source. That will be both a very exciting but also very weird and surreal and a little sad feeling day when it ultimately happens.
This is the beauty of the internet, and of humanity as a whole. The tiniest stimulus from one of the most random, ordinary places became one of the most popular memetic pieces of online horror in the world, inspiring endless lore and a big budget movie.
I really love that yhe place of origin, for a lack of better words, is incredibly unremarkable ♡ Like of COURSE it had to be some small town in the middle of nowhere or else it would have been found way easier Gotta love humble origins ♡
I'm actually glad the space transformed to the degree it has, probably is going to protect the current owners from as much harassment than if it had remained a furniture store with the same style display rooms. If I lived nearby I'd try to at least quietly support the store by buying something, for as much entertainment as the original Backrooms photo provided all of us.
"If you don't subscribe, one of the backrooms monsters will get you." Also the CEO of Hobbytown 20 years ago at the time it was new: "No screw you, I'm destroying his house."
We many have lost some legends this year, and the end of this year will be warfare in America, but I will say so far this year and the last has really ended many different eras for everyone. From Everyone Knows That to Ash Ketchum finally retiring, a lot has happened that leads us all asking: what's next? I, for one, can't wait to see what is next to find. My most wanted thing for this year is to find the original image of Jeff the Killer. That's when an era of my life will be complete personally.
@@redwiltshire1816 Meant the end of these searches that have gone on for years. Plus, I also was referring to nostalgic shows and medias finally reaching a conclusion after decades of airing.
@@redwiltshire1816 when I think of an era, I think of something that had a long time running, and sort of defined a point in time, up until their conclusion. I do not just say this to online mysteries. TV shows, Comic books, and even Places apply to it too.
@@veggieboysupreme I get that but this is more of a chapter than a full era the end will be when well let’s not think about that but I respect your decision
It most likely was the lights and water damage it made the lighting dim and yellowish, it is actually beige I saw a video where the wallpaper is shown it's not the whole thing but it's a start also they tore it down due to water damage
