im not a backrooms nerd or anything so idk how accurate this is. the film athstecis and editing is outstanding tho. i like the use of a lower end camera as well and how the actor just is kinda talking to himself like he actually just recorded this. idk its really good tho
Wow, I simply have no words. Possibly one of the most underviewed quality backrooms video I've seen yet- some of the effects rival the compelling nature of Kane Pixels' series
7:53 I loved how the creator incorporated the infinite nature of liminality here, the Backrooms are infinite but so is the outside. Reminds me of the manga/film Blame! .
I love how you've included the non-euclidean nature of the Backrooms, including how the rooms are constantly shifting. A lot of Backrooms creators forget to expand on the original vision of the Backrooms, which by this point has been milked dry and is no longer as surprising as it used to be when the idea was fresh. I'm loving the idea where the environment of the Backrooms itself is animate and might play a deciding role when running from danger.
I know what you mean but none euclidean geometry isn't the right word, theres no none euclidean geometry in this, there are CG representations of none euclidean stuff on RU-vid it's hard to describe in words.
@@jeffblaine933 I'm sorry, my comment was not worded properly. I know and respect the original, but I think that people, when creating more Backrooms content, should not forget to add more twists (f.e. the non-euclidean geometry; I love that aspect because you can create confusing spaces that's so in tune with the idea of being lost in the Backrooms). Backrooms is an extradimensional space, so anything could fly really, it can evolve in so many directions, though I'd want people to treat Backrooms more seriously (there's too much parody and meme content out there).
Of all the Backrooms videos I've seen, Kane Pixels, then A-Sycnh creations, then you. You're the only one I found besides them that made a DAMN GOOD film. Please keep doing them ☺️ you have a good talent man. Don't waste it by not doing something you love
4:13 I love what you did here with the editing. It’s like witnessing someone trapped in a multi-layered quantic tesseract. You could walk right by someone else and not even know it. Awesome! 😎
This is the Best thing I've seen this month and I Hope this goes Viral just like the video from Kane. My mind was blown several times watching this, as this type of horror is my jam. You have created yet another masterpiece!
THAT was good! Scared the stuffing out of me several times, heart racing! Love all the effects. The pulsing lights, moving walls, sound changes... Wonderful storytelling! Not sure if it's true, but I picked up a "Portal" vibe at 5:45
This was excellent. One of the best I’ve every seen. It was so well done I actually felt like I was there. I truly hope to see more backrooms content because you have so much to bring to the genre.
wtf this is amazing, the sound design is top notch and the concept and visual ideas are great the part from 7:20 is amazing the landscape of 7:54 it's like something out of a weird dream Well done the end got to me --- I didn't think that the light were actually eyes watching you
I'm not joking one bit, you should work with Kane Pixels on backrooms stuff. Even as a side project, just do it. Your spectacular animation quality with his storytelling is perfect
I've come to realize that the cameraman saying the S word (like in Kane Pixels' video) has become a trope in at least a few Backrooms found footage videos, so I imagine this: [The cameraman picks up a piece of paper signed "Blanche" and ends up getting transported to Level 906, finding himself in some sort of library that goes on forever in all 4 directions] Cameraman: Holy s- Entity 140: Watch your language, dear.
So much talent there! You got us really scared! Especially with the walls getting closer... and these eyes... We would be glad to have this short in our next anthology movie, or to work with you! Please stay talented!!
Comparing Harry's Found Footage to Kane's Found Footage: Kane used more yellowish green lighting with some extremely darkened hallways to make the place feel unnatural, but you added ponds and washed colours to make it feel abandoned. Kane made a screaming monster that looked horrifying and was smart enough to set traps, you barely showed it but gave the feeling it was still chasing the protasgonist by not giving any sounds combined with him still running. With only one minute more, your video explores more of these liminal landscapes than Kane's. I truly can't pick which one's better, nevertheless, I truly admire how different this video feels than Kane's, its clear that you´ve put so much effort in this.
Portal devs should hire you if this is what you make in your spare time. You and the Astartes guy[the guy who created insane cg astartes series of short films] should collaborate and make a scifi film. Him with the insane character cgi and you with the environment graphics and design could be a force to be reckoned with.
Very good video. If you were trying to install temporary fear into your viewers, or subscribers, which I know that was your objective. Then I definitely think you succeeded. This video was extremely scary
One of the best Backrooms interpretations I've seen. I find total isolation creepier than a certain presence in there; just unexpected sheer drops and claustrophobic corridor twists and that hyper-speed part! The elevator reminds me of the dreams I used to have about elevators that opened on 'wrong' floors or blank walls (I quit having them once I finished school and decided I was done for good). And the film's ending with that awful dilemma...it deserves so many more views!
I love how you've included the non-euclidean nature of the Backrooms, including how the rooms are constantly shifting. A lot of Backrooms creators forget that the environment of the Backrooms itself is animate and might play a deciding role when running from danger. Good job Harry Evett
