I’ve searched and completed multiple pieces of research on this topic. Once you and understand what happened, it’s not hard to side with Palestinians. This is Britains fault and they should be the one cleaning up this mess.
It's not the Palestinian fault it's not Israel fault it's the stupid British they put two groups of people that hate eachother right nextdoor the British had tons of land to set up Israel some far away but no they had to be idiots they literally could have set up Israel in South Africa or in the fakulands
And now Britain seems to have forgotten about this declaration, behaving as if they have nothing to do with the problems in the region. What an embarrassment to humanity they are. 😂
Fascinating account, well put together video. One must not forget either, that In the First World War (1914-1918) the British sided with the Arabs to fight against the Ottoman Empire of that time. The Ottoman Turks lost that war and both Britain and France alongside the US had a meeting in Paris in 1919 where it would be decided what the fate of Turkey's lands would become in the Middle East. The Arabs had been reassured that if they fought against the Turks, they would be given their own empire and land on which they could rule and govern. This promise was BROKEN however, by the British at the so called 'Peace Conference'. The subsequent Arab lands ended up in the control of both Britain and France and would remain so up until they believed the Arabs were ready to rule them themselves. To get to the depth of this period of history, one must understand the involvement of Jews in all of this. You see, the history of the Jewish people stretches back a very long time and that is not surprising as its one of the oldest Abrahamic faiths extending its origins to even before Bibical times. When the Roman empire was reigning supreme and controlling large swathes of territory stretching from Europe to the Middle East, the Jews lived in and around a region what is now commonly called Palestine. They were driven out of there by the Romans around 70AD and as a result Jews would migrate around the world and settle down where they could. This would happen over the course of around two millennia. Eventually at the end of 19th Century, a man named Theodor Herzl, an Austro-Hungarian Jewish lawyer and Political activist became the pioneer and founded of what we refer to as 'The Zionist Movement'. The idea behind the Zionist movement was simply to establish a Jewish homeland, with Zion meaning 'promised land'. It just so happened that this 'promised land' would be smack bang in the middle of modern day Palestine. Theodor Herzl advocated and staunchly believed that it was the place God intended the Jews to live. Sometime around 1917, Lord Balfour, a British Government Ministor promised that the British Government would assist the Jews in establishing a homeland in Palestine. This became known to the world as 'The Balfour Declaration'. Ultimately what this did was put Britain in a complicated situation since this very same land was initially promised to be handed back to the Arabs, land which it must be noted never belonged to the British, the French and certainly not to USA.
I’ve had people argue with me due to ignorance over the reasoning the Arabs fought. They had no clue this was why Lawrence of Arabia was in the Middle East fighting the Ottomans with the Arabs. It’s a sad state of affairs when our history intentionally deceives us
Zionists are not of Abrahamic Jewish descendants 😂 Jewish spiritual leaders don't support the Zionists and the state of Isreal. And many many jews were sacrificed for acquiring that land.
Some additional facts which I think are pertinent to your points. Zionism was created by the same group that created Communism. These were Russian 'jews' who already had their own 'autonomous homeland' within Russia itself. Most of the leaders and in fact nearly all the future presidents of Israel were Russian born and had Russian / Ukrainian dna. The jewish diaspora of which you refer were really the Sephardic jews who settled in North Africa, Spain and around the Mediterranean. The people from Russia are Ashkenazi jews and are remnant of the old Khazar kingdom in what was once Ukraine. These were the people who converted on mass to Judaism in the 10th century. That is why there are so many 'Russian Jews'. These people are not the ancient Hebrews. Haaretz Israel's most popular daily paper carried out an investigation into the DNA of the populous which showed that 97% had no ties to the Middle East and were in fact of European lineage. They therefore have no claim to the land they stole. In fact the diaspora and the remnant living in the area actively rejected the Zionist plan. The Sephardic jews were already emancipated in Europe and the Middle East Jews of whom there were around 10K in 1910 didn't want millions of Europeans moving into their homeland where they had lived for 1000's of years with their Christian and Muslim neighbours.
@@Seansaighdeoir Wow and the plot thickens! ..My questions would be who were the Jews in Palenstine during the supposed time of Jesus (1st century)? were they a mixture of the Ashkenazi & sephardic or was it just the sephardic that Rome conquored..also were did the Khazar kingdom get their wealth from?

The Balfour Declaration was a statement issued by the British government in 1917, during World War I. It expressed support for the establishment of a "national home for the Jewish people" in Palestine, which was then part of the Ottoman Empire. The declaration played a significant role in the eventual establishment of Israel in 1948. It was named after Arthur Balfour, who was the British Foreign Secretary at the time and played a key role in its formulation. The declaration expressed British support for the establishment of a "national home for the Jewish people" in Palestine. The primary individuals involved in the Balfour Declaration were: Arthur Balfour - British Foreign Secretary and author of the declaration. He was a Christian of partial Jewish ancestry through his maternal line. His maternal grandfather, James Maitland, married a Jewish woman named Charlotte, and their daughter, Balfour's mother, was Louisa Balfour. Lord Rothschild - Walter Rothschild, a prominent British Jewish leader, who received the declaration on behalf of the Zionist Federation. The declaration represented British government policy and was issued with the approval of the British Cabinet. It played a significant role in shaping the course of events in Palestine and the Middle East in the following decades. As for the impact on the Palestinian people who lived in the land, the Balfour Declaration did not address their rights or aspirations. It led to increased Jewish immigration to Palestine, which created tensions and conflicts between the Jewish and Arab communities. Over time, these tensions escalated into a complex and long-standing conflict, resulting in displacement, wars, and ongoing issues related to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The Palestinian people faced significant challenges and hardships as a result of these historical events. The displacement of Palestinians in the context of the establishment of Israel in 1948 resulted in the Palestinian exodus, known as the Nakba, which means "catastrophe" in Arabic. The number of Palestinians displaced and their destinations varied, but it's estimated that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were affected. Many Palestinians became refugees and were forced to leave their homes in what is now Israel. They either fled or were expelled during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. Some Palestinians became internally displaced within what became Israel, while others sought refuge in neighboring Arab countries, including Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Egypt. The exact number of displaced Palestinians is a matter of debate, but it's generally estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands. The Nakba remains a central issue in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the right of return for Palestinian refugees and their descendants is a significant point of contention in peace negotiations and discussions about the conflict's resolution.
re: Nakba. they won't be able to return as this would jeopardize the security of Israel as the return would represent a 5th column army. that is why nobody has come back. also, this happened in the US at the end of the revolutionary war. Britain asked Washington to allow the British patriots back to their land. Washington said no as that would constitute a hostile army within the borders of the U.S. And don't forget about the displacement of almost a million Jews from neighboring Arab countries in 1948. Israel took most of them in and took care of them. can't say the same for the ones that left Israel.

@@adilaeziz4769Either way, what gave him / them the right to do what they did in the declaration? Reneging on agreements confirm what the colonised knew of the imperialists and naturally flowed from the colonisers arrogance.
What is the balfour declaration? Balfour means "bal-four". bal-four comes from two words, i.e baal and four(4). Baal means "owner, or lord", 4 is the share out of the yield of the land. "baal-four" means "he owns the four parts". so, the declaration comes from those masters who own the land. the Jews will get one hand and the master(Balfour) will get 4 part) of all Israel is producing. (The philosophy is called "zerubbabel or jerubal" philosophy. zerubbabel is the tenant of Babylon and jerubal is also a tenant. This is a principle of tenancy. The world belongs to other non-mixed race people which are removed from the world map. The Rothschild people are self-proclaimed "lords". They are fake.
At the end of the British Mandate Palestine should have been granted independence on the same terms as every other part of the British Empire, as a unified federal state where peoples religious rights and freedoms would protected by secular constitution. Just as the Canadian Constitution protects, the french & first nations peoples, or the NZ constitution the Maori peoples. This could have honoured the promises of the Balfour Declaration
This was intended, but the Jews turned against the Brits and the Palestinians militantly. They were not interested in compromise, like the Brits and the Palestinians were
That's really not the question to ask is it?. There really is no legitimate basis on which to support the Jews, in this situation. The Jews tried to say that they were there, four thousand years ago, but there is no "objective evidence", of this, all we know for sure is that the Arabs" were there",at the ttime the Jews were allowed to travel there, Which gives them at least equal rights under anyone's estimation. Also, the Jewish "elders" such as Herzl, you lobbied the British government in order to allow the Jews to emigrate, were offered both "Uganda" and "Alaska" as alternatives, but rejected them.Lastly, they accepted Jerusalem, on the basis that they would live "alongside" the Arabs, not replace, the Arabs. On both the basis that the jews moved there and the agreement they struck, they have violated everything, whereas the Arabs are only being abused and kicked off theiir land Unfortunately for Israel, it only a matter of time, even if it's a hundred-year way, when they have the same problem that Constantinople had, with the Christian state, surrounded by Muslim states, at some point they went into decline. There was a powerful Muslim leader and they got annihilated. At some point, USA will not be in a position to support them and you know the rest, specifically because they will remember how the Jews acted towards them, as they have since the 1940s However, they can change this, if they extend an olive branch, at some point, in the future.if they do so, and the Palestinians don't meet them halfway, then they can at least say they tried, but this doesn't look promising in the future. Does it mostly
there where some mps in the Chilean Government (there about 500,000 Palestinians in chile) wanted the British Government to apologize for the Balfour Declaration
How come two contradictory agreements can be made? One with the sharif of Makkah to give them a single unified independent state and a secret agreement between the two powers to divide the Middle East between them. Of course all this was to buy time in the region as long as they could and when Israel was born the British escaped leaving Israeli mess behind for Palestinians like they did in India leaving behind the Kashmir conflict.
End apartheid. End genocide Zionism and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict have been described as a form of settler colonialism.Patrick Wolfe, an influential theorist of settler colonial studies, considered Israel an example and discussed it in his 2006 essay "Settler colonialism and the elimination of the native". Many of the fathers of Zionism themselves described it as colonialism, such as Vladimir Jabotinsky who said "Zionism is a colonization adventure

They promised an Arab state, not a Palestinian state. There are actually several Arab states in the region, most notably Jordan. Palestine was the name of a region, not a country, not a state. Even given all that, the Palestinians were offered their own state and they turned it down with the 3 'no's, not mentioned in this video.

So why should they have to pay the price for something they are not involved in. Israels lands thousands of years ago or not that was a place Palestine considered home. Who would allow people to take their home like that obviously they are going to disagree. The people of Palestine are being subjected to heavy violence that the whole of Europe overlook because are not a European country meaning they don't care. Also the spanish american war and the korean Japanese situation.

A large part has been missed out here. The Balfour Declaration was only agreed by the British if it didn't upset the local population. When the demographic shifted and violence rose against Palestinian natives, the British tried to limit further Jewish immigration. This caused a backlash from terror groups like the Irgun, who not only attacked Palestinians but also attacked The British in Palestine. Which was what led Britain to hand over the mandate to the League of Nations

British strategic ambiguity in Federation of Malaya, allowing the Malay language freedom in translation to "Land of the Malays". That was consequently Horrible for it gave Malays permission to treat ethnic minorities as 2nd class citizens for perpetuity.
Parts of this feels very misleading. Israel didn't randomly kick out people in 1948. It setup it's state based on the borders recommended by the U.N. Also the video glosses of the Arab population starting the physical infighting prior to this in the 20s and 30s. Furthermore, the influx of Israelis from later in the century, ranging from 1940s-1970s can't from Jews being illegally kicked out of Iraq, Afghanistan, Morocco, Egypt and Yemen. The British also helped set up the several Arab nations in this period. Namely Jordan, and also sided with certain sheikhs into the middle east , later pressing to the establishment of the UAE, the defence of Oman and Yemen. Yet these involvement by the British isn't questioned. This will make me feel that the real issue here is that this is about getting Judaism. Otherwise a 2 state solution would have been found.
But you see, the Arabs have many homelands, so why did they need another, when the Jews had no homeland other than their ancestral landof Judea and surrounding lands, that had been renamed from Judea to Palestine by the Romans and not by some fictitious indigenous peoples called Palestinians. Likewise, Arabs have two Holy Cities: Mecca and Medina. So why do they need a third Holy City?

Yes but WHY. WHY did the British make this promise? What did the international Jewish body offer to Britain during the war. Perhaps the most important aspect of this agreement is not discussed at all here. So disappointing. Everyone knows all the points covered in this video.
The British did this because the Bible says that in the last days God will gather all of the Jews from around the world back to their original homeland. The British felt that they were helping God fulfill His prophecy. Balfour and Rothschild and others were Jewish. “Now it shall come to pass, when all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all the nations where the Lord your God drives you, and you return to the Lord your God and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul, that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you. If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you. Then the Lord your God will bring you to the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it.” Deuteronomy 30 “But you, Israel, are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, The descendants of Abraham My friend. You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its farthest regions, And said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away: Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:8 “Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, And gather you from the west; I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, And My daughters from the ends of the earth- “ Isaiah 43:5 “For there shall be a day When the watchmen will cry on Mount Ephraim, ‘Arise, and let us go up to ZION To the Lord our God.’ ” For thus says the Lord: “Sing with gladness for Jacob, And shout among the chief of the nations; Proclaim, give praise, and say, ‘O Lord, save Your people, The remnant of Israel!’ Behold, I will bring them from the north country, And gather them from the ends of the earth, Among them the blind and the lame, The woman with child And the one who labors with child, together; A great throng shall return there. They shall come with weeping, And with supplications I will lead them. I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters.” Jeremiah 31:6 “Hear the word of the Lord, O nations, And declare it in the isles afar off, and say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him, And keep him as a shepherd does his flock.’ For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, And ransomed him from the hand of one stronger than he. Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of ZION.” Jeremiah 31:10 Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah- 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, [h]though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their [i]hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” Jeremiah 31:31

0:58 they did have a right to the land... Much like many nations that attempt to conquer Europe The Ottoman Empire was divided. This specific part was chosen because if it's choke point between Africa, Europe and Russia and Asia. Belgium exists as a buffer zone because of Neapolitan , we had East and West Germany for decades as well as Germany losing all of her Colonies due to their part in WW2. We as a world have dismantled nations and empires that have on multiple occasions attempted to take over Europe. To prevent them doing it again. Germany was divided and kept half in the charge of USSR and half in the charge of USA as a means of preventing them rebuilding so quickly and acting as a peace keeping between USSR and US interests. The contested area of Israel and Palestine was used in part because of it's tactical position but also the strong narrative of the Jewish historical claim to the land. The thousands of years of history of the Jewish Diaspora being victimized in almost every corner of the globe. The plan was to give them a homeland that would be a safe haven for them. It was shown prophetic by the Holocaust carried out by the Nazi's during WW2.
It would be interesting to see another video describing life in Palestine between the Arabs and the Jews before 1917. From what I’ve read, both groups seemed to get along well (but who knows?). The are positives and negatives for creating a solution to the problems in Israel/Palestine, and the simplest solution is that it all becomes one state. There may be too much mutual animosity for that now, but a plus would be that Israel/Palestine could be a TRUE democracy with equal rights and laws for everyone. Nothing surprises me anymore, but I don’t think Israel can maintain it’s status as a modern, civilized, democracy if it wipes out all the Palestinians (through ethnic cleansing or worse). Israel may be thinking that the world will “get over it”, but I doubt it.
This is totally British fault. How can the British gave land that doesn't belong to them to the Zionist from eastern europe while the native Palestinian got no say. How is that possible. If that's the case can Ireland give Britain to the French and the British people got no say whatsoever.
