Play it California too. I've Coulterville and Hornitos and Joaquin is often mentioned from the robbery on the road to his tunnel to the bar in Hornitos.

It was good to meet you and your wife, Dave, at Phil's place in Mesa. I especially appreciated your advice to me: "Be careful, cuz singin' can ruin you for honest work!"
Feels like a ghost story & campfire song mixed beautifully "when I'm gone, they'll just find another monster. They have to. It's the only way they can justify their wages" -Dutch vanderlin rdr 1
I opened for him at Cowboy Trails in Las Vegas ...........Dave Stamey is an amazing performer, and a musical historian who keeps the wild west......alive........I am glad to have met him
Your awesome Dave Stamey, I remember when I was like 6, and I sang you a song, you said that you would write me a song, Im not sure if you ever did, but, I've memorized just about all the songs I've heard of your's, keep up the good work!
He plays his guitar like I'd play my heart in love. His voice could glue me to it forever. This song reminds me of Claude Dallas. Thank you, Sir, for giving this beauty to us. Carlie
Great video! I have all his CDs and have seen him in concert. If you ever get the chance to see him, do it! My favorite CD of his: Buckaroo Man. But each CD has some of my favorites. He has won several Western Music Association awards, and most recently awarded Entertainer of the Year (for the third time!). You don't even have to like Western/Cowboy music to enjoy his work.
I just love the song b/c my name is Joaquin. I think it's good otherwise but that line about the story is always of the same, all your women they tremble in fear at the mention of my name cracks me up. Great poetry in the lyrics, talking about flying as if in a dream.

Same people , same genetics and links in languages from north to south. He was First Nation resistance - a First Nation man hopelessly and wrongly railing against the overwhelming and inevitable onslaught. As did all First Nation (Native “American”) people’s.
