Pretty sure the point of the "banned" opening is to, yes - sacrifice, but to also play extremely aggressive and force opponent into a negative position in which one of their rooks simply never gets to play.

I started 3 months ago my accounts was like in 200 elo because I created it last year and didnt know a thing about chess, then I started watching vids and tutorials for like a week and started climbing, and it took me almost a month to get out of 300-400 elo that range between 300-500 was hell, now I'm 800 but it is still funny to me that I climbed from 500 to 800 in 2 weeks when it took 2 months from 200 to 500

Am I the only one who thinks this is actually a good trade? Sacrificing a rook which generally don't do much in the first half of a game for a piece that's active throughout and essential to any opening on turn two. Seems like a smart sacrifice to my nooby eyes.

I am new to chess and play against these "300" players a lot. Really infuriating as either they play with accuracies in the 90% and are geniuses or they are cheaters....

when you create a new account you get an 800 rating. By the time you learn to play better, you're already at 400~600. The ratings are very messed up below 800. you can either find a very weak opponent or a very strong one. There is no consistency.

Anna, the lowest ELO rating is eight hundred.

I Think the bullet rating is higher if a higher rated player never really played bullet. Try to go and see their statistic. Of the good players, maybe their Daily or rapid games are much higher rated

Banned opening? You can’t ban an opening. Chess has a freedom to it.

It's actually hard for alot of us in the 3 digits to gain elo because everyone is getting better all the time. I can't stay above 600 at all. The ones that we would see on Gothams channel are outliers or possibly attention seekers. I never see players that play stupidly in my games

What is a "sub"??? I keep hearing this term, but I've never seen it explained. It sounds like a "subscription", but how can you "gift" a subscription to someone? I guess you could gift a single subscription by subscribing to someone else's channel, but I've seen people talking about gifting multiple subs, saying things like "thanks for the 20 subs", or making bets involving 100 subs, and I don't understand how that would work at all.
