I don't use witch. I call myself a Wise One. I saw you with Uncle Bucky's Big Blue Book. LOL. It's a very good primer, but it is not THE way for everyone. Just as Gardner is not for everyone. Nor is Cabot, or any of the many other ways. Each of us has to adapt to the one way that makes sense to us. I am an eclectic solitary pagan Wise One who has been at this for 45 years. Yes. I am a crone. LOL. My pantheon is mostly Egyptian, with a bit of other pantheons blended in. All you need, to be a Wise One is the intent and basic belief. You're right. And that is why my main mantra is this "No one way is THE right way." We all have to listen to the whisper of the gods in our inner spiritual ear. Once we hear the gods, we know. You're doing well. I go back to the time when you had to make what you had, and you used what you had. If you had rose quartz then great...if not just a common rock with a pink caste to it would work. I saved up for a good deal of time to buy my first chalice. In the meantime I used a earthenware cup. I used a black handled kitchen knife as an athame for many years. Okay...think about our ancestors. Most of them were not wealthy. They had one knife. This they used to cut the bread, cheese, meat and so on. And when they did spells it was their athame too. The besom swept the floor everyday, and it swept the circle. Cords held their gowns closed, and could be used to measure the circle. Candles lit the night. Salt made the feast taste well. You're right. Not everyone had an altar. They couldn't afford one. To have one could get you murdered. Not all witches are spiritual. Most are, but not all are. That's alright. "No one way is THE right way."
Great info and wise advice Linda, 'listen to the whisper' reading that made me happy. I feel very similar to you in my history but only 35 years looking and learning. Think I began at school learning Classical Studies, thinking 'damn the Greek gods and myths are cool'. The Witches Way by J&S Farrar, freshly out on the shelves was my 1st star find, no internet, almost no shops full of retail witchery and well your 2nd paragraph covers the rest :) 'listen to the whisper' and one day you might meet up and then you know. I'm not a witch, but I'm very interested in the subject since I experienced a potential car accident with my pregnant wife which didn't end up in a tragedy because I dreamt about a very similar situation the night before and knew exactly how to react to avoid losing control of the car. That event spark my curiosity about dreams and things that have apparently no explanation and I'm now on the rabbit hole. Your comment caught my attention because I thought something very similar in terms of the items available for ancient practitioners as I was watching this video. I'm glad I have a confirmation from an experienced Wise One (loved the term). Been starting to watch videos on witchcraft, and reading some books. I'm still just learning, studying, but the very thought, gives me a sense of comfort, and I don't know why. I was baptized Catholic when I was a child, I only recently started looking into witchcraft past few months. I want to really understand it, before I decide to practice it. so I don't need deities and fancy objects? I've been doing nothing but research for days on end and I'm starting to go a bit crazy i think. I guess you could call me agnostic, but I also belive in the Buddhist philosophies and I wish to practice witchcraft but I don't necessarily believe in deities. I belive in a possibility that they exist but I don't want to use them in my craft if I don't believe in them. can I instead use say "the universe" or "positive universal energy" instead of deities?
My opinion is - of course! This is about YOUR spiritual journey, not what any one else believes or thinks you should do. I mostly address divine energy as universe or cosmos, because it aligns with what I believe, and helps me feel authentic in my connection. Don't force anything. If you want to try something out, I'd say go for it! If it doesn't work, put it down. If you don't resonate with something, then stick with what you do jive with. Don't ever allow anyone's "shoulds" get in the way of your spiritual connection and expansion. It can feel very overwhelming listening to everyone's opinions, when it starts to feel like this for me I take a little break from reading/watching videos. I journal, connect with spirit and really search into what I feel. I've had to do this several times over the last few years! It's wonderful and helpful to hear what others have to say and how they practice, but I think we must always check in with ourselves as we do. I don't mess with witchcraft because it has no freedom. you still have depression, anxiety, and confusion. it's never solved those issues or given me true peace. only Jesus Christ has done that for me. I was searching for truth and I didn't know it was a person. jesus said i am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the father but by me.

I wonder if your perspective has matured now that a beloved Christian pastor, who struggled with depression despite his intense faith, who ultimately lost the struggle, has brought light to the problem within the church (see Inland Hills church of Chino Hill, CA). Depression and anxiety are physical illnesses, not spiritual weakness. Now. I mean no disrespect to your personal path, but your post, in addition to pushing a false narrative (Jesus magically takes away all your pain), is completely out of place and inappropriate. How would you feel if a bunch of witches hoped on to one of your Christian forums and started spouting off about how your deity is a copy and amalgamation of other deities? How your Christianity is materially identical to witchcraft - faith, petition, trust in something greater than oneself?
You have a fantastic perspective! :) I agree with you very much, especially on the idea that you don't need anything specific in the craft. It's advice I wish somebody had given me when I was starting out 4 or 5 years ago when I was barely a teenager! I spent so much money on things I didn't need at all, and quite over priced things at that. And as a younger practitioner it made the craft more of a stress rather than an opportunity to explore and create a path of my own. I spent over $200 on stuff i never used because i never truly connected with it! Now I can go down to the local creek and pick up a few sticks, a few rocks and create something totally unique rather than stressing over not having the tools "oh so necessary" for my spell to work! It really can cause anxiety and be a distraction from actually experiencing the magic. It sucks that you had to go through that learning the hard way! I did too. Beautifully said! Each practice is as unique as the witch , just as it should be! If your a practicing witch, finding yourself frustrated with things not working for you, tweek it to where it DOES, I can't stress this enough. This is where I find the basic guidelines for being a witch is so important. Knowing yourself makes it easier to know what methods and ways of practicing work!
I have always felt like a witch, and for the past week I have been watching hundreds of videos and reading as much as I can. I was having an issue because I would see all of this fabulous stuff I enjoyed, but there were just limitations here and there that I wasn't happy about. It wasn't until this singular video that I finally have the confidence to begin my journey. I love all of your videos and am so happy the universe has brought me here!! 😁😁😁
I love how you explained the terms without going too far in depth , which might confuse someone who's just starting out. I'm a witch myself, and I enjoyed watching the video. It's true that paganism and witch are such umbrella terms, that it's pretty individualized to the person on how they define them. It tends to be such a unique experience for everyone, that I've come across who's in the witchcraft community or even curious about it, but I like that you gave a lot of information without being too overwhelming on introducing the terms. I even recommended this video to one of my friends whose new to it all. Personally, altars are nice and all, but they really aren't necessary to have when your just starting out or even at all, if you don't feel connected to it in any way. The practice should feel personal to your energies I think and your practice should have meaning for you.

Paganism is vast there is so many paths and systems out there..i started out in Wicca and now i practice Nordic Magick..im part of the Left Hand Path community..i even do poppet Magick and there isnt nothing wrong with opening your mind more and expanding in your practice its your craft your Magick and its a passion to want to learn..i hate it when people say that they are a professional witch that is so ridiculous because there isnt no professional in the craft..its a lifetime study and learning

This video has spoken to me so much. I've been trying to find someone on youtube to follow who understands the massive intersectionality of magic and magical practice. I'm so glad someone is on here talking about how vast and incredible this world is in terms of magic-- how there is so much history and culture, many different manifestations, and new things being learned everyday. In every aspect our world is so big and infinite. I was reading a book and in it, it talk about how not let being handicapped limit your spell work by imaging yourself to do things(it was on ritual and dancing) then later the author discussed tool. After reading it, I thought to myself, "now why couldn't I imagine myself holding a staff and using it?" I think the mind is a very powerful tool and really, your mind and body are all you need.
There are so many ways of practicing Witchcraft, and so much to learn is why they say that you'll spend a lifetime studding The Craft and still not know everything there is to know. I personally have never met a Witch that would tell someone that their doing it wrong. When I do Magick, I'm doing it by raising my inner power. For instance, when I create a circle. That circle is as real to me as my athame is in my hand. When I do Magick, I believe in casting a circle and raising power in order for a working to work. I do it this way simply because it works best for me. This is not to say that I'm closed minded about doing Magick in other ways. This was an excellent video Owlvine. I agree that sometimes it is easy to forget that most of us are drawn to witchcraft because the dogmatism and exclusivity of "traditional" religion/spirituality does not resonate with us. It is important to acknowledge the many different motivations for walking the witchy path from the desire to cultivate our own personal relationship with the Divine or Universe or whatever you want to call this something bigger than us; to curiosity and experimentation. We are all in this to learn and grow and be at one with something meaningful to ourselves personally. So let's be kind to one another and not quibble over what is the "ultimate right way".

I completely agree with the things you're saying here. I bought a few books like yours myself and although it's always good and even fun to learn about other techniques, protocols and/or procedures, I feel the same way you do about the wicca religion, actually any religion for that matter. I respect other's and their religion, but I guess I have my own path to honor and respect. FINALLY! A Witch that I completely agree with. 1.) Magic is the energy that weaves through out the multiverse and we all have the potential to tap into that energy within us and outside of us. It's all about, meditation, grounding, finding peace and using you intention hopefully for good and no messing with free will. When you study sacred geometry it all makes sense. 2.) All religions, spiritual paths, atheists all practice magic. Prayer, blessings, ceramonies and feasts are all apart of magic, not just spell casting. Remember it's all about intuition. Even common people with their chaotic thoughts and emotions practice magic erratically which is one of the reasons the world is so f**d up. As Yeshua would say, "They no not what they do". Just remember #1. #1 is key. I also would as far as to say yes I agree stones, candles, herbs, etc. are fun especially when you are a healer and those objects help you focus very much on your intentions, but if you don't have that just go within and manifest it into your inner being, your inner temple. Create your inner temple, even draw it out on paper. That is where the magic happens but you must remember #1 above all. ~Kara~
so true. When I came to paganism I thought it would be a happy, loving place. I was shocked that there was sometimes name calling, bickering, etc. I am happy that most people are loving people, I just think we should all be given the freedom to find our own path. Fabulous topic! I so agree with about not needing specific tools for a specific purpose. I try my best to avoid books like that, which tell me I need salt on my altar and a red ribbon, wrapped around a black candle, with so & so incense burning. lol I need to work with the tools that speak to me, the path I follow, and mostly my magical intuition. It is all about intent and power coming from within, working with the energy without. You can learn some things, and get ideas to allow your craft evolve in ways that it may never have gone, or spells that you may not have even considered, but the actual "stuff" isn't going to mean anything if you don't have a personal attachment to it. There needs to be power within, power without to manifest magic! Sometimes the most powerful magic can be as simple as listening to the wind fluttering the leaves in a tree and quietly whispering a wish on the breeze. :)

I really needed to hear this. I've been so overwhelmed by the details. I've been combing Amazon to find the right book to get my craft going but get confused. I've bought some Scott Cunningham books, and Deborah Blake. I find Deborah's books resonate with me, but even still, it's all so overwhelming and I hardly ever have the right colour candle. I've written my own spells as I'm a writer and they flow, but I've never known what to use with them. I'm so scared I'm going to use the wrong thing. And it shouldn't be like that. I love that you say it's about the journey, that we don't have to know it all at once and the learning should be fun!
Absolutely! I hope this helps you to approach your craft with a light heart and enjoy it! Remember "recipes are guidelines" and that goes for spells! Use the spells (and other information) you find in books or online as *inspiration* not law. Thank you so much for you thoughts. You have no idea how long I have been waiting to hear your words. I agree with so much of what you have said, to the core of me to be true. The traditions, the fundamentals, guidelines, methodology, for a novice, sole practitioner such as myself, are essential to come to an understanding of it all, to find my way. True, there is so much out there. I've been overwhelmed at times. I've struggled with some of the ways, which are not me and feel to the core that it doesn't have to be that way; for example the part you spoke of regarding gods, goddesses and the like. Huge struggle. I have been searching to bring my intent, my essence, my spirituality, inline with the ways I practice versus the ways others say it must be done. I've always believed there is no right or wrong way and that I have to make it my own. I have witnessed the practices in my own culture indicating this to be true; no two practitioners that I have witnessed have the same methodology. Magick, witchcraft is experiential and one must really have to work it out for themselves. I study much, I use and practice what speaks to me, feels right for me. I'lI go into a shop, or I'm in my home for example, and I have no idea what I need to aid me, but the inner search is there to find the answer, to help myself, to help others in my life, then I am drawn to 'it'; a book, a crystal, a stone, a method evolves and the magick begins. Wonderful to have your words as confirmation. My struggle has been lifted. Thank you! I can't thank you enough.

I look at it like this. there are many denominations of Christianity right? so one group can't look at another group and say your not real because you don't do it exactly how we do it.

I have been struggling with this for the last month and I came across your videos. The first was about Deities and now this one. I feel so much better about this. The idea of being able to put a "name" on what I believe is consuming at times. But Witchcraft as spirituality makes so much sense to me. I feel like at the time that I started rekindling my spiritual journey (which is different from the religious journey inherited from my family), this whole witch concept was "trendy". And things got hard to decern who was just following the fashion of it and who was actually speaking to the truth of it. I am still nee but finding my way and finding the truth! Loved this video! I’ve always had this sort of outlook on spirituality ever since I was small, even when I was being taught that witchcraft and paganism was wrong. I used to believe that because it was what I was taught, but around age 12 or so I decided I would take my own path to spirituality.

That is the problem with a lot of new popular books. It says witchcraft the description on the back of the book talks about witch craft. Then you crack it open to find its a Wiccan book. And not even an accurate description of Wicca at that. I was so shocked when I first found out the Gardner was the founder and his religion wasn't something you could just join. You have to know someone and get accepted into.
Yeah Wicca is the predominant western witchcraft tradition, but not something that resonates with all of us. I think because it's so accessible its been 'modernised' a lot into something which a lot of people don't consider to be wicca anymore. We're all on our own path and have to find what works for us, and finding those witchcraft books which aren't hugely influenced by wicca is a bit of a treasure hunt! Many blessings xx
I think of it as Wicca and wicca. (Capital and lower case W.) Most of its wicca... Which is really just eclectic solitary paganism with the wiccan reed as the bow on top.
In my spiritual adventured ive really gathered alot from mammon behavior, but its really that the reason you use qaurtz isnt because it ' Represents ' something. It's because of the energy it carries like the minerals inside. but tbh its really more of BELIEVEING in what you do. A lot of people leave it up to the world to decide whats gonna happen because theyre just using the five senses. and closed minded thinking. Ive discovered that after a lifetime of listening to my mother call me miss know it all i subconciously did. because who else hates feeling stupid? you try to make sense of whats going on. you make reasons for whats going on. and you either have a positive negative ot neutral feeling about it. but that feeling would be the witchcraft? but anyways. we all have our own energy. you are the soul not the body. you cant take youre vessel with you to the divine? do you guys know if the body loses weight when you die? well scientists call that youre body decomposing. i bet you tried to come up with logical explanations like this one. but the world is not what other people make it, its how you view and manifest it, because you come up with logical reasoning for it and believe it.
I fully agree with you. The energy you add to a spell is the part that matters most. Not whether you use this herb or that crystal. Those are nice things to use and help you along, but not essential to magic.
I also have a find hope that everyone just get along and learn from each other. Build each other and the community up. Encourage others, teach them, and be teachable ourselves. There is always more to learn. That is one of the wonderful things about witchcraft!!! The knowledge and possibility for learning is endless!!!

Totally agree! ❤️ I find that having the crystals etc help amplify the aesthetic and intention to my spell work. I don't use deities or anything. I work more from the energy of my ancestors and intention. I do reiki to help with connecting. It helps especially being an empath and Clair sensitive to protect. I tried to find the answers to everything and it just blocks you from really exploring your creative flow when practicing because of all these bloody rules. The rules. Ugh. I don't believe in rules. I believe that some are there in guidelines with how one can work but in the end it's all about intention and what you feel for yourself.
Yeah being a Christian witch is difficult, I know a few and they cop flak from both sides which is really sad. Keeping doing you no matter what! I am a baby witch, but I've done a lot of metaphysical/law of attraction/spiritual research and practice in my lifetime, so here's my understanding of magick: Magick is another word for Source or that which some call God or Allah. It is the All That Is. From Magick, from this Source all consciousness and physical forms are created. In Christian/Judaic tradition, in the beginning there was God and God spoke everything else into existence. As God/Source/Magick was all that existed, everything created after that is of that same creative, ever-evolving, ever-expanding consciousness and therefore is imbued with the same force or energy or essence that is Magick. If Magick is the ocean, every point of consciousness is the wave, having its own experience and trajectory, unique unto itself but still of the same whole. Witchcraft is the practice of using actions, spells, words, tools in a variety of ways to align with and utilize the creative power of Magick. Witchcraft practices have been used in almost all human cultures in a multitude of incarnations. It is inherently human to connect with the divine. Witchcraft, IMO, is like grass roots religion - the people make their own ways to connect whereas major religions have established dogma that are supposedly handed down from whatever God they worship and the people are supposed to adhere to that. Just my opinion, of course. But that's how I (currently) am defining it. Hope that helps, really enjoyed the video!

Yes books, RU-vid videos are great for learning about witchcraft, but at the end of the day, it's up to you, of what you take from it. There is no right or wrong way to practice witchcraft. Thank you for this! I'm fairly new to the craft and I'm still not quite sure where I fit in. I've been doing a lot of reading and research and it can all be so overwhelming to take in at times. I still don't have all the tools "necessary" for my altar so it was quite refreshing to hear that I don't actually have to have them. It's funny that I came across this video today b/c I just received that exact book by Buckland in the mail this afternoon. It was highly recommended to me. Btw you're beautiful and l LOVE the accent! It can be very overwhelming to begin with, there's just so much to learn and it takes time to find that comfortable spot that you feel you fit in to. My advice would be to really take your time with exploring in this stage. Resist the temptation to find a label for yourself, I know there can be that pressure to, but I think that you'll really find more of what works for you if you remain open, read and research as much as you can, as well as throwing yourself into experience. I'm so excited for you!! Coming into this paths is one of the most exciting things! Have fun and remember: You don't need ANYTHING to practice! I mostly use bits and pieces I find outside (dirt, leaves, feathers, flowers etc etc), and places like charity stores/markets/garage sales are fantastic to find unique and inexpensive tools. I'm just seeing this video now and I absolutely love the way you talk about the craft this is what I love to call it everyone is different you are absolutely right I'm not as experienced I'm actually still learning I do consider myself to be a solitary witch I'm not part of a coven and I always preferred to do things alone rather than in a group and that's just in general how I am. Great vid! I think educating yourself on the various aspects of the craft are important when structuring one's belief system but intuition must be your number one guide throughout the process and in the practice. Intention is really all a person needs. The rest is icing on the cake. Blessings... ✨🌙✨
So true 👍. The people that try to say, "do things this certain way" & spend $$$$ of dollars on classes , to each their own I say. Those of us that have grown up and been raised to do it from pure nature know far differently.
Interesting... While I agree that tools are not essential in the craft, the acquisition and the making of implements can be a lot of fun. It is where a witch's artistic and creative side come to the surface. One of the things I like about witchcraft is that rare occasion when I stumble upon a beautiful and enchanting witch such as you. Love your talk. It's about knowing, I am old and been Polythologic for years now, but that doesn't mean I know a lot. For the new, I say HISTORY. know it read it understand where traditions are but like generations change it to fit you if want to.

Hi, meditation is a great way to open our minds, and listen to our own intuition and not of others. And I agree we should do what is right for us, follow your own path. Yes it's ok to read other people's ideas and steal a few of their ideas and thoughts. But the magic comes when we find out things for ourselves, new things come everyday, when we find out about our earth and ourselves, magic is in everything, I read Tarot everyday and see the magic in that. As you said there's no one way to do things , magic and learning will go on forever. I've just found your channel and enjoyed the video, many thanks.
Yes! So true. I think real understanding and wisdom comes from experience - it certainly integrates learning. All that others tells us is valid, as it's from their own experience (mostly, sometimes it's just repetition of others), we can certainly learn from that and should, but we must take these spiritual teachings, particularly, into our own understanding and actual experience. It's no good just to read and never do anything with it. And spirit and magic are such vast and expansive things, they are not linear and clearly defined, there is new learning for us in each moment if we follow our heart and souls :) Thank you! In my opinion. It takes the energy of a person who makes the magic. It is not something you read in a book and do exactly as written, coz without your unique human energy the spell would be just a bunch of words. You need to feel it in your bonnes, your heart and mind.
Sometimes I'm inclined to believe that people don't want me to know any more than they do. Because knowledge is power and when you know your not in the dark anymore.
Good video. Totally agree, use what's on hand, use it for it's meaning. My cauldron is a small cast iron pot sold to make BBQ sauce. Works really well for my Vesta powder and bayleaf rituals. I want salt on my alter so I got a used glass salt shaker, done. Things have changed, I'm thankful the reading of entrails isn't really done anymore.
Just study what you find and what interests you and then throw it all out and do what works for you. :) I don't have an athame, a wand, an alter pentacle, a sword (who has a sword???) In the beginning I did think I needed all those things. But I figured out I don't *need* anything specific. I simply use the tools that I feel drawn to. I don't do a ton of spell work, I do a lot of research, lol. Also, if there is anything you think you *want* you can generally make it or use something you have or *gasp* something that doesn't come from a metaphysical store. My chalice is a plastic Halloween skull goblet that I put on my alter because of Kali. Otherwise I'd use some type of glass cup or bowl probably. I don't try to represent the elements or the masculine and feminine. I just arranged it with things I had. I didnt have a Kali statue so I used an oracle card. And also set a metal fairy statue on my alter as the female principal. And later I drew a picture of Kali with colored pencil. I started with a card, a barely related metal figurine, a skull goblet and an incense stick and then I kept finding things around my room that seemed to fit so I added them and moved things around. Whatever I didn't have I made do without until something suitable showed itself to me. I've got a lot of rocks and stones and some plastic jewelry that has flowers on it (probably both came off of cupcakes), and things that are meaningful to me, and a small pyrate dish with water in it (that probably isn't necessary but its good for outing out my incense.)
One question: what is the difference between the magical practitioner who identifies as a witch, and the magical practitioner who identifies with a different label? What is it that makes a witch different to every other type of magical practitioner? Or do you class all of them as witches?
Ooo great questions! I'm not really sure of the underlying differences, I think it depends on each practitioner and what they choose to call themselves, or perhaps it is a certain area within the craft they focus on that determines their label? I've heard different definitions for many different labels, for example shaman, wizard, witch, healer, occultist etc and many of them overlap. I think sometimes witch can be a person who is more (but not solely, of course) in the realm of practical magic - manifesting onto this plane, or what some have dubbed "low magic". But that's not necessarily always true either, and there are so many different kinds of practitioners who call themselves witch. I think all magical practitioners could be considered under the word witch, and I think many a muggle has uttered "witchcraft" when something miraculous occurs when it appears to take place for/around/because of a person in touch with realms beyond this one. I'd be really interested to hear your thoughts on the topic. What do you find the differences between a witch and other magical practitioners are? :)

There are too many people out there fighting about different religion already so I like the idea of the witches joining together to fight against the common foe, the true evil and the greatest adversary of them all...human ignorance! But it is still good to debate and discuss various approaches to the craft or it would not evolve and new witches and warlocks would have nothing new to guide them. peace
Its mostly self identified if someone is a witch or other type of .magical practitioner... "Witch" is not a trademarked label. Anyone can be one or not be one. Its... {Brace yourself} just a word ;)
I think witches need this kind of permission otherwise they get overwhelmed and blocks occur then nothing happens. I have an altar it’s the focal point of my meditation and spiritual practice. It helps me to have a spot as a basis of my spiritual practice because I don’t go to church and what not. I’m eclectic also. Just like cooking you need to substitute-ingredients. They are more like guidelines -pirate witches;) JK To practice is better than overwhelm. I was surprised when I started the in fighting just like Christianity about what is the correct way of ideology on different aspects
i agree that one must feel free to choose what feels right, but the example about using metal or wood...it can react differently with plantsworks, in natural dyes. Using a different metal pot can totally change the color of the dye (ecoprint by indiaflint), so i beleive in natural healing it could affect the quality of the plant's power in some way.. Of course for symbolic use, do what you will! Also, Thank you very much for your video, you are a free spirit and since you seem to a found a balance between rationnality and feeling in your personnal practice, i can relate my practice to what you say and i fell connected and understood. Feels good :)

The concept of a god and goddess doesn't resonate with me and so I felt as though maybe this line of spirituality wasn't for me, but you've helped me realise that I just need to find or imagine what makes sense for me, not necessarily what makes sense to someone else.

I always understood magic as a mix of "The Force" from Star Wars and "The Circle of Life" from The Lion King, and Witches were the Jedis or Rafikis of the world.
thank you. At the moment I don't have the room for an altar. I work from my book of shadows and that is close to me at all times. I bought my first set of Angel Tarot cards and as I took that plastic off it was like like I connected with them straight away. I didn't read my tarot today as I didn't have time today. We had a visitor last night.
As a kid I awoke in witchcraft in solitude, as an adult I joined a coven (not wiccan) and the experience overall was not to my liking so I broke with them and went back to solitary practice which was my perfect fit from the start, both in practice and spirituality. Each being should choose their path of enlightenment because they can be extremely different and even contradictory from one another. Not all of us witches need a religion, for some a deep connection to the elements or fundamental concept like life or death is all they need as an anchor from which to evolve into a better stronger self.
