I don't know what it is but I've never caught a fish on any of the ultra realistic craws. I know many others have, I just don't have confidence in thewm

Glad to see this. Years ago I found a craw very similar to this, except it had an exposed hook with wire guards, in a bargain bin so stupid cheap I bought a hand full of them. Wish I’d gotten a truck load.

It’s an amazing bait, very durable and subtle action. The Sleeper Gill is the one I just can’t seem to get working right.

I've caught so many bass beating the bank with this. And I've lost just as many sleeper craws snagging. And at a little over 10 bucks a pop it's gotten expensive. But they do get bites so it's a give and take.

Luckily the same lures that catch bass 10 years ago are still catching bass for me now so I dont really pay attention to 'new bait' videos. My boat is already full of baits I never use ...

I agree with the baits I never use. Recently removed 14 plano 3700s from my boat on baits I never used. We've become lure collectors.

I used those in the upper peninsula and caught some real nice smallies. Pretty good bait. Hookup is ok. I think ill like the juvy craw better from great lakes finesse

I don't mind endorsing the Megabass....(short of obscene prices)...but, I'm trying to figure out what makes that different from the Z-man craw. Elastic craws with floating pinchers is becoming fairly common. Looks like a fun bait, but for whatever reason, they done work well in Florida. Very rarely do you see guys using craw baits (at least like that). Great video, regardless.

Per a prior post, this is the _ONLY_ pre-rigged craw Randy likes, b/c the others don't work. I've never used a pre-rigged craw, nor heard of impressive results. It seems sometimes _ANY_ bait will work, and sometimes _NONE_ will work.

I caught a lot of fish on it. Seems like a really good bait. But i lost a lot of fish too. The hook gap is very small. I heard ur not supposed to set the hook really hard with it. Idk? I got a lot of bites when i used it, but i definitely had a lot come off too.

Great Lakes Finesse makes a far better one, imo. Yes, I’ve used both, im a big Megabass fan. Have six of their rods.

Randy.. Do a video about being a pro fisherman... I have questions like are you considered an independent contractor? I also have heard some of the pro athletes that if they go play in this state whither it is football or what ever they have to pay state taxes there for the year because they paid in that state for playing, does this effect pro fisherman as well if you win money? Or do you get to count it as a loss for the year if you don't win? How does some of that work for your trade as opposed to different athletes?

You’re both 100% right. I have at least 10-12 with no pincers left. I’ve emailed and snail mailed Megabass with no response. For $10 per lure, they should last more than 1-2 fish.

The one thing I wish Randy would do when he talks about when to use baits is not use a 'monthly' measure Burt a water temperature measure. Here in Florida his "monthly" usage can be several months off. Water temp yesterday was 76 degrees so there is no use worrying about 'pre spawn' anything here ...

The "monthly thing" has to do with the spawn. the two weeks before, and the two weeks after. Since the spawn can be late January, to early February in Fla, adjust your calendar accordingly. And since he did say that at the beginning of the video, maybe you should pay a little closer attention to everything he was saying, rather than what you wanted to hear so you could critique the man.

@@astrophysicistguy Thats just because of where he lives. Every fisherman I know does the same thing. Here in TN, its about to happen in two weeks (next full moon.) Water temps are near 60. But its always A) moon phase related, b) water temprature, and c) length of day. Happens in southern Florida in Early Febuary. But in The Finger lakes in New York your talking late May, to early June. Bass fishing 101....

@@spikymikie I understand that but Randy's channel is "supposed" to be for all bass fisherman, not just those who live in his area. If he would talk in terms of water temperature and not a specific month it would be easier for everyone to relate to ...

So all your really doing is soft trolling him. .If you disagree or want to be critical over such an incredibly trivial thing, thats your problem. Ive watched Randy since he started in Bassmaster back in the late 80's. Even fished against him in a few invitationals in the 90's. Bless your heart, find something more important to worry about.

Greetings from Tennessee. Completely unrelated, but I fished a tournament today on Tim's Ford Lake and no one in the twenty paying places were fishermen. All of them were stalkers. But then again, those who go to a game farm and sit in an air conditioned and heated building (called a stand), open the double pane insulated window, and shoot the animals standing 25 feet away around an automatic feeder, get to call themselves hunters.

Looks like a site fishing bait. If you’re not targeting spawn fish. Why are you fan casting where the spawn fish are? You may not site fish for spawn fish, but you are trying to catch spawners! Don’t fish those areas during the spawn! Or you shouldn’t talk about others that are and bad mouth them!

if you watch videos of bass eating craws. they avoid them when the pinchers are raised/ I tare the pinchers off all my crawls. and I catch way more fish
