I haven't watched anything of the mandalorian and even though I am a huge nerd I haven't been too much into Star Wars beyond watching Episode I to VI and reading some lore here and there. But good God I love battle droids, all about the Separatists faction and in a broader sense everything related to the clone wars era. George Lucas really set up a nice and solid science fiction background and context to develop his story.
@@mr.metamovies2419 Well, yeah. It is, my bad. But still I was kind of right because the main story is adventure, romance, politic thriller religious allegory and much more, all into a science fiction context. Lucas himself has criticized the new wave of science fiction movies because they are all about spaceships and guns, and what made SW successful in the first place was the use of this archetypal recurring human stories and mythos common to all cultures.
You should watch clone wars it’s genuinely amazing - if you think it’s too long there’s a list of essential episodes that excludes filler you can find online
This episode was clearly missing more love for the B1 Battle Droids. Those clankers offer more personality than the Mandalorians and that poor B1 just got promoted.
If you're asking why the B1s look so different from B2s, it's because B1 Battle Droids are made to be cheap to manufacture and maintain, be able to work in areas that normal people can fit in, and be able to fold down into a more compacted position for easier storage or transportation. B2 Battle Droids are made to be tougher to kill, requiring multiple shots at minimum to take down as opposed to one for the B1. This means they are bulkier due the having a thicker frame and having armor plating.
