I know this comment is a bit older, but I'm fairly sure that the joke Gary made was about the galleon ship type called Man of War which ironically was developed in Portugal, but was used all over Europe.

I've sadly only found them in Covid times and at a point in my life when I moved away from where I was meeting with friends regularly. But I'm definitely keeping them in mind for whenever a bunch of people wants to be silly together in a more organised manner.

Until then we'll have to amuse ourselves by setting up our own private sessions. Maybe see if it can be adapted into a pub quiz format. Though you do of course need that essential chemistry which isnt ever guaranteed.

Speaking of battles named after places they weren't fought, there's the example of the Battle of Bunker Hill, from the American Revolution, which was actually fought on Breed's Hill, as the American Militia moved during the night and dug in on the wrong hill. The British sportingly refused to take advantage of this mistake, and attacked frontally anyway.

If you put the asterisks inside the quotation marks, that would stop it from being bolded. For some reason you need to include all adjacent punctuation.

Behind Tom there is a little brick mark that looks like a bearded mad wearing sunglasses. I thought it was just a pareidolia but I noticed that the exact same mark is on several bricks which makes me think it’s somehow intentional. Edit: I think it’s not intentional but the brick pattern repeats so it appears many times
