Really cant compare Dien Bien Phu and Khe Sahn. The Marines were on top a hill, not in a bowl surrounded by hills. The Marines also had better arty and more important 24hr air power.

They did. Called em Spooky back then. And they were just as badass if not more as today.

accurate assessment except that we lost 2x as many and we didn't kill nearly that many nva.

Whole nva divisions were evaporated nothing left to know they ever existed no way to know the body count. There is no telling how many were in the tunnel and trenches that attacked the south vietnamese ranger. Part of the line because they was nothing left to them

Yeah. The hill battles of khe sanh during 67 before the seige was some of the most intense fighting throughout the entire war. Never forget.

@@Hubcapdiamondstarhalo do you know where I can learn more about those hill battles that happened around the base? I only know of one that was a Green Beret outpost.

Wow! The communist Vietnamese took a pretty sound ass whooping at Khe Sanh! The Marines lost 244, while the Vietnamese lost 15,000? That is a 60:1 kill ratio. That is epic! And the liberal media was working with the communists to try to tell us that Khe Sanh was a loss? What the? We handed Giap a severe ass whooping on that one.
