I hop on my Yamaha bw80 and Charlie rides my Yamaha moto 4 80cc. We race to see which bike is faster. Thanks for watching and subscribing! New videos every week! Instagram: 2_vintage_ Snap: the2vintage
The bw80 has a stock power restrictor between the cylinder and the pipe that can be removed, it is ment for kids that are learning to ride, it looks like a large washer.
Clearly the 2 stroke is not running “minty” lol. I actually owned a moto 4 80cc and the 100cc 1st two quads I ever owned and the only ones I didn’t pay for lmao it’s nice to be a kid that’s all I can say
running rich not lean. That thing will smoke the moto 4 when running right. another cool video though. I'd love to do the stuff you guys do. Especially when I was younger.
I think the bike Gets to Much/Little air in the low rpm’s, try adjusting de airscrew. Or it gets to much feul that I cant al burn a the low rpm’s. It’s poberly 1 of the 2 or both (srry for the bad english )
The be 80 looks cool with the fat wheels be cooler if you did a 125 2stroke engine swap the bw80 seems to bog right down should give the cab a clean and check it's the right jetting
Put some seafoam in the bw80 my buddy had a bike he bought it was a ttr125 and it bogged a ton in the first couple gears and he put seafoam in it and it opened up
You need to ditch the oil injector on that BW80 and mix at 40:1. You're smoking like crazy. You should've beat that four wheeler. Warm up the engine and then adjust the air screw on the carb until it has good snap on top end and then adjust the fuel screw until it has a good idle. Also, pull the baffle and cut off the spark arrestor. I got me a bw80 and I love the little thing. I use it to get back into the good fishing ponds in the middle of the woods. I got mine to where it will rip right sideways and pull decent wheelies and I weigh 200lbs.
Envy YT thanks for the reply dropped it off at a place nearby a month ago promised to have a full rebuilt motor in a week haven’t heard from them and they won’t answer my phone calls MOTO SHACK In San Antonio tx🤬🤬 also I had order all the parts needed to rebuild it and dropped the parts off with it
Bryce Hickman you should go down there and see what’s up, some mechanics like to salvage parts off of good bikes, a guy named Hennessy, he makes car, back then he used to rip off his costumers, steal there parts and sell them. So just go and see what’s up 👍🏻
That bw80 must have upgrades because a pw80 goes 41mph stock and I wanted a bw80 before but I seen someone say the bw version only goes 30mph but that's clearly false because you're bw seems too be going faster than that but what's gay is yamaha underpowered the pws and stuff and they redline so fast and don't go very fast for being 2 stroke but you can still have fun with them and if you see a really good deal on one they are worth getting
Michael Supercharger i had an 87 bw 80 and I got it to go 50 at least. I may have had a different sprocket or something but it woukd haul ass through all the gears
Peter M that's awesome I've had 3 pw80s that were stock and only go 41mph but the 3 speed kills them like they are good for riding around in a field or road but like I don't understand why some people go threw so much trouble heavily upgrading one so there kid can use it on a track when a stock kx65 goes 55mph and has a nice power band I think pw80 is actually slowest 80cc because I think a suzukie Jr 80 has 6 speed and goes fast and idk why Yamaha made a pw80 slow and its the same with a yamah blaster they are 200cc 2 stroke with a 6 speed but only go 55 - 60 mph but 2 vintage has the yamah ysr50cc 2 stroke pocket bike that went 55mph+ with a 5 speed
My bw80 has a modified airbox, modified muffler and derestricted pipe and it only goes 30. From the looks I think the previous owner did a top end rebuild.
I have a pw80, and i got to go 52mph, all i did was get funky and adjust the carb, and take out the restrictor on the exhaust. (I weigh 165lbs too man.) It's stock as well other than what I mentioned.
Yo i will trade u my kawaski 80m 1986 2 stroke all it needs a coil braket i have the brandnew coil and it needs a cluch cable will trade for a running bike
Hey quys love the vids, its a 1986 Yamaha big wheel 80, i had the same one brand new serial number JYAIRY003GC009305 my dad sold it and id love to find and buy it for my 10 yr old boy, i was 11 when I got it
I think Charlie would make a way better host. You come very arrogant in all your vids. Charlie seems way cooler and more mellow. I'm trying to hate, but......
Leatherman lover 777 its acceleration seems bad but seems like it was pulling harder at top speed I've had 3 pw80s and they only go 41mph stock witch is probably the slowest 80cc bike ever made
Mine is stock other than removing the oil injector and cut off the end of the spark arrestor. I did have to adjust the carb to get good power through all ranges. Mine rips decent as is. It doesn't have a lot of top speed, but the bike isn't really meant for that anyways. Some day I will put the FMF header and silencer on it and better air filter. This winter, I plan on putting a new Weisco piston and rings in it and a new carb, since the current one has seen better days. I definitely need to go one jet size up so I don't have to have my fuel screw so far out. It rocks though. It's a very fun bike to ride if you're not trying to run motocross and use it for what it is meant for. I take mine through all sorts of stuff and it does great. I got a great deal and only paid $200 and it's pretty mint, other than a rip in the seat. LOL!
