The Beach had a heart of gold by giving 3 metal detectors gold and silver chains. I also found a couple of rings and a lot of coins while metal detecting Newport Beach. I treasure hunt with a Minelab Equinox 800 with the 15" coil.

That is so awesome! I am just now beginning to start my relationship with the EARTH! I have been fascinated with metal detecting and finding beautiful lost treasures from history! Which history is just fascinating beyond words and thus finding the proof of what used to be has such a tangible story. So I'm a broke college student with actually $8 to my name so I borrowed one from a friend, a cheap $65 one never held a high quality one before , but now I know this is my passion and I am intent on saving for a good one ! Everywhere I go I'm like " this place would be awesome to detector at " but someday I will be able to fulfill that and until then I'll keep watching you (even after that I'll be watching ) thanks for showing me I had this sort of passion in me!!! ~ love Bobie from Colorado

Awesome! welcome to the world of FOMO now!. Lol! I do the same thing when I look at an area. Colorado is a great place to have a relationship with the EARTH, I grew up in Grand County and still today living on the coast of California, I miss being surrounded by nature and the peaceful easy going pace and lifestyle. The detectors of old were not as good as the cheap detectors of today, Lol! I know I had some success hitting old mining spots on BLM land, I found lots of Indian Head pennies. I wish you great success! Thank you 🤙

20 years ago I was metal detecting at Manhattan Beach and found a mens nugget right I took it to a jewelry store and asked them how much was it worth,he told me about $350 I was elated so I asked him what he would give me for it and he scratched it and weighed it and told me he would give me $23 for it. I told him I would take it back and throw it back on the beach before I would sell it for that i decided that jewelry is a rip off

Jim talks about the cycle. From what I can see he means penny, nickel, dime and quarter. When I go for a cycle, I include all of the coins currently in circulation. For me to complete the cycle, I also need a half dollar and a dollar coin, either Sacajawea or one of the presidential coins. I've only done that twice in 10 years of metal detecting.

A cycle is a Quarter, Dime, Nickel and Penny with a dollar coin making a super cycle. since half dollars are not really in circulation I do not include them, However to reach a silver super cycle is must include the half dollar. 😂 Thank you 🤙

Let it be a lesson, don’t wear your Cartier jewelry to the beach! My father was a butcher and bought my mother an inexpensive gold band to wear at the shop in place of her diamond wedding band. The last thing they wanted was for it to slip off in the ground beef!

My setup is around $1200 but a equinox 600 is just as good and will save you money. Minelab Vanquish is also a great machine. Thank You 👍

Returns are hard and rarely does it happen but when I do make a return the feeling that I feel when returning a loved item is worth more to me than the gold value, plus it is just good karma. Thank you 🤙
