The Bear - Ep.2X9 "Omelette" (MovieMan Reaction) 

Hi again, I explained a little bit about Carmy's thing with denim a while back. Thom Browne is alluded to earlier in the series! Several episodes ago, there was a conversation he was having with Claire about the pants he was designing in class but then found out someone had already been making them "At a very high level." He even said he got to meet the designer as he was coming into the restaurant sometimes. I like to imagine Carmy showed him his designs and bonded over pants/fashion.

I love how the show doesn’t even blink at someone like Richie (and how obnoxious he can be) actually being very intelligent. In the first ep, he says at family dinner that he’s thankful for Philip K Dick, aka the famed author of the story that inspired Total Recall. But Carmy’s expression when Richie is giving his speech about Siddhartha is so funny 😂

I agree you do need to have a work/life balance, it is important, but not right now. When the restaurant is up and running sure, but they had three months to get all this together and now they are mere moments away from opening, it sucks but Carmy's focus should be 100% on The Bear. Sydney is giving this everything, every second of her time, they are a team and he does need to be doing the same. They have mentioned a few moments of Carmy's attention being split and him missing things, like the painting, or the equipment or calling the fridge guy which he's been meaning to do for a few episodes now. What's interesting is when Carmy was having his panic attack thinking about The Bear, his family, Claire, it was thinking about Sydney that helped calm him down.
