Why is that a 'controversial' take? Like, what do you put on hotdogs? In the Country where I currently live, they add stuff like Mayo, ketchup, mustard, parmesan cheese, bacon, pieces of onions, etc.
I heard the Bear was categorized as a comedy because of its thirty minute episodes-dramas usually have fifty. But there was no denying the show CAN be funny, it just doesn’t do it as often as one would expect from a comedy.
I feel like because it's not always funny makes it more funny. Like, it doesn't feel forced, like the drama and sad moments too. It's a lot but somehow doesn't overdo
@@Peapeapeapa yes! Like the characters are making light of their situations. It doesn’t feel like they’re making jokes so WE laugh, but to make themselves feel better.
@@Zephirite. Exaactly! It feels so natural, especially also with them talking over each other in scenes and stuff, it makes it feel like there isn't a "punchline" the whole scene is just funny
@@stephengrigg5988I forget the context but I remember that guy as a mafia guy. He probably figured he can’t be touched if they are dead. Is he not mafia? Probably, but he is to me
2:53 The cats named Ralph had to be an improv. It seemed like he basically messed up the line, and just reacted so naturally it was perfect. Edit: thanks for the timestamp @DeathnoteBB
"I didn't bring ketchup." "Why didn't you bring ketchup ?" "Cause what kind of asshole would put ketchup on a hotdog ?" "A child, Ritchie." ... "A child asshole." This fucking exchange haha
Could be wrong but season 3 seems to be changing how Mikey committed suicide. Carmy implies in that first clip he did it on a bridge. But it seems like Richie might've found him at his apartment. Again, could be wrong.
That scene in season 3 was a flashback to the "fishes" episode from season 2. Probably implying that Mikey wouldn't open the door to his room because of what had just happened with the car.
The constant jumps around time were confusing. Richie (and later Sugar) are unable to find Mikey. Either he and Richie had plans or Mikey hadn't shown up to work. Neither knew at this point that Mikey had already gone to the bridge and shot himself the night before.
The Bear is NOT a comedy. It doesn't come close to the requirements of the Emmy's tk be considered a comedy i.e. over 60% or more is actual comedy & the rest can be dramatic. The Bear is at most 10% comedy and that's being generous. It is easily one of the most dark, depressing, dramatic, and unpleasant shows on TV. It & their actors, etc. are stealing awards and nominations from deserving comedy shows. They should run in the drama category but won't because they won't win. Succession would have beat them and this year Shogun. The Emmys and Golden Globes are a joke and The Bear has proven it. It's rigged. They are gaslighting the public by insisting it's a comedy.
NO it is not. COMEDY AND DRAMA SERIES are defined as programs with multiple episodes (minimum of six), where the MAJORITY of the running time of at least six episodes are primarily comedic for comedy series entries, or primarily dramatic for dramatic series entries, in which the ongoing theme, storyline and main characters are presented under the same title and have continuity of production supervision. The Academy reserves the right to have the category placement reviewed by the Academy’s Industry Panel.
