Everett will be perfect in our new O that Shane Waldron runs 2-3 tight end sets. Looking forward to seeing what drops to us at the 9 pick or if we trade down with ii.
Truthfully, I hope we trade back. Nothing against Williams, I’m just so much more hyped about MHJ. Adding him to this roster can make the most average QB look so much better 🐻⬇️
@@BearDownMedia I just don’t have full faith in this coaching staff yet. As a franchise, we’ve destroyed many careers and made bad picks in the draft when it comes to QB. Can Waldron build around the QB we draft or will we yet again try to jam a QB with a specific skill set into a system that doesn’t play to their strengths?
1) This video's title should read the Bears *_HAD_* the best offense *in the NFL!"* Remember that three wekk period where they were #1 in mid-'22? _Before_ they acquired D.J. Moore? The attention span of sports fans is incredibly short. Oh right, it's one of those things we're not supposed to talk about. Because if we do, we might remember that we had a QB who elevated the team & that we traded him. & kept the inept coach who cancelled *_all_*_ the plays that _*_made them_* #1, meddled in o-line plays creating ones where the opposing defenses *regularly got through to the QB untouched,* & also had his coaches tell Fields to not throw to certain receivers on certain plays, then refuse to answer reporter questions about this sabotage of his own QB. Indeed of the the entire offense. Yeah, good luck with this corrupt POS leading the team. If he's willing to to destroy them just to be able to say *"I coached Caleb Williams you know" to a really tiny group of people who might pretend to care, imagine what he'll do the first time Caleb makes a play work but not by following what this HC orders him to do or even starts expressing individuality off the field. He'll go right back to his back-stabbing ways. It's all micro-managers who meddle in everything can ever do. The Steelers made the playoffs last season with 3 worse QBs & an almost identical receiving corps, including a guy who would get open but drop passes. I don't trust Arthur Smith, but he's more of a passive ineptitude who doesn't *help* QBs get in synch with their receivers, but possibly doesn't work to hinder them either. I just don't know if he or Tomlin have ever had the ability to assess good talent at QB. If so, & if they get a couple of decent receivers in this draft, Fields may do better than Caleb. After all, as you're all ignoring, he made the Bears the #1 offense 1) _without even_ a D.J. Moore, 2) with his own o-line allowing pass-rushers straight through to him untouched, & 3) his own HC removing receivers from passing plays & generally sabotaging him. He may be better than Caleb. I can't name a single thing CW does that Fields hasn't done well enough to be considered being in the same tier as him. The improvements even if they draft CW may be getting Keenan Allen & Gerald Everett. No way does Swift bring anything this stacked RB room didn't already have & Eberflus can't scheme running plays but doesn't allow his OC the freedom to either. It'll be fun to see how long 'Flus can go before he starts undermining the new team.
