The Beatles Cavern is FAKE? 

It's about time a plaque is put on the wall were the original cavern club was

It's not exact but when you go in you still get some idea of what it was like back then with modern ventilation and if you are a music fan you're guaranteed to have a good night in there

It's a bit misleading claiming the new one covers 75% of the footprint of the original club. Compare it to the original after it was extended in 1966 and 75% would be close enough, but the club when the Beatles played there, would be close to 0%. Proof of this is that the original entrance, you went down 18 steps and everything was to the left, go through that door nowadays and down about 50 steps,everything is to the right (maybe a tiny overlap)

Yes but so what!? Having reckoned their mistake the Liverpool council rebuilt it (using much ofthe same bricks as possible) a few meters away from its original location, and, it is still the closest there can be to the original place where it all started!! I just hope Liverpool does the same with every veneue that served the Beatles' upbringing in their embryonic years, like not only John and Paul but also George and Ringo's houses, like Vienna or Salzburg have done with Beethoven and Mozart's iconic places.

This Cavern Club is revisionist history. They could have saved the original footprint, but didn't want to spend the money, so they said it was too structurally unsound. What?? But they were able to build something else below a part of it? The entrance and stage aren't even near the original spot, and the new main floor is many feet deeper than the original, but it was built with "the original saved bricks?... so that gives it credibility.. LOL. Don't be fooled.
