I have always felt privileged to have been part of Beatlemania, a most creative, exciting time to be a teenager. We were so spoiled. Crazy when a new song (or album) came out and dying, waiting for the next one, and they Never failed. Even if we had to 'wait' for the next album, there were 45s released, and we didn't realize at the time how record breaking it was, that they came out with so much music, Great evolving music, so Quickly! Oh, I miss those simple days when that's all we cared about! (it seems).
You are sooooo luckyyyyy. I wish I could've been part of that. I wish I could've had a chance to meet them. Eeeeeeeek I probably would've fainted, cried for sure. Yeah, I'm pretty crazy over them but who isn't. Srry for the long-ish reply.
It was a special time following them for those years. They led everyone on an incredible musical journey. Never to be repeated. Who inspires this kind of devotion and who ever will again? Not likely.
They were so absolutely so crazy funny and spontaneous. John was always fast with a come back. And that comment... Hope you enjoyed our records as much as we enjoyed melting them! Classic!
They are SOOO giddy like little kids and it's adorable and fitting and omigosh I love it. Beatles giggling like mad just because they're recording a little message together
Number 1.- The modesty ("melting/making records")- at this early stage- is so charming. Number 2 - The genuine humour, wit, & honesty("Page 1,2" etc.) is so timeless(1964/2020 - interchangeable). Number 3 - WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE WORLD WHEN THIS GEM(& all their other Christmas messages) HAVE SO LITTLE VEIWS!
I have all the Christmas messages on a very thick bootleg record bought on the boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ; this is a total time capsule; instantly transports me to my bedroom in my parent’s house

They were so witty and naturally funny, esp John obvi. John used to criticize fans/journos that wanted them to stay happy go lucky mop tops, but dang "whats wrong with that" . I know , i know... they had to "grow up and mature" but they were so special during this period. Im really looking forward to Peter Jackson's Get Back movie, cuz apparently it captures them older, but still having bantering fun
I swear The Beatles were totally clean and sober tea totallers. They never did drugs or drank alcohol. No, no, officer, I swear they weren't high on anything when they recorded this.
