Or Potato Day All my peelings seemed so far away. Now it looks as though they're here to stay. Oh I believe in potato day. Why they had to grow I don't know she wouldn't say. I peeled some spuds wrong, now I long for photo daaaaaay. Potato day. Peeling spuds was such an easy game to play. Oh I believe in potato day. Oh I believe in potato day.
Mash doesn't come in a minute, Sometimes it doesn't mash at all, Only know that when Paul makes it, It isn't lumpy, no it isn't lumpy, Mash isn't lumpy at all
I remember the first time I saw this clip and I thought it was so funny and completely random. Then, many years later I heard that this was the first public appearance that Paul made after Linda had died. Linda was known for her cooking, and so he felt this was a good way to honor her memory- to be cooking something. It was really his first step towards the slow path to healing. Knowing that completely changed how I watched this little video.
And when Paul left The Beatles he was depressed and started drinking. Linda basically told him to stop moping around and get to work again. Tough lady. I can respect a woman like that.
Are there any good Paul lookalikes out there, well i made something on here about that, to see it simply just type in this title....People who look like Paul Mccartney
It wasn't random at the time, although it is funny. The first album Paul released after Linda's death was her album, Wide Prairie, for which she wrote most or all of the songs, and performed them all. So Paul promotes any album he puts out, and this net video was a half hour of Paul promoting Linda's album. He showed music videos of her songs, answered fan questions, and, of course, cooked something. Personally, I figured that if he ever tires of music, he really could do a cooking show, because he has the patter, and he has accents he can use, and he's safety-conscious. He's always telling you not to cut your fingers off or scald yourself on steam. Of course, he'd need few more recipes, but that's easy. I think he's making mashed potatoes because Linda let him make them by himself while she cooked something more complicated.
That actually explains some things. I remember seeing this video years ago and I just assumed it was from some tv show or something that had him as a guest. I wondered why, if they could have 10 minutes of Paul McCartney's time, they would have him make mashed potatoes. I guess it makes sense that he was doing it as a personal tribute to Linda.
Seriously the common work man (I am one) and from experience women too don't want a famous chef they want a "regular guy" to show them how easy and fun it is to cook. And Paul has been to so many countries and cultures that he can make jokes most English speakers will relate to. I'd genuinely watch every single episode of a cooking show hosted by Paul and although I'm a musician I am far from a big beatles fan. I just think his personality and experiences fit the "TV chef" better than the stereotypical "TV chef" although now it'll be online. 4:33 he says "water" in an american accent.
@@jackelewish1568 The last time I watched any professional chefs on the Food Channel, or whatever it is, they had all these talented people whizzing around the kitchen like robots on steroids, moving at lightning speed as though they were cooking in the world's busiest restaurant. Paul calmly plunks the whole task down in your local kitchen, and proves you can make good plain food without angst. This is the way real people cook. In case he doesn't start his own show, remember to talk to your oven mitt, and have fun.
Ah yes, but the only problem with that is that it has to be a glass onion in a field of bent black tulips and strawberries. It doesn't taste good if it's from somewhere else
Paul's a natural, not just at cooking but, he has a cool, calm and collective aproach to anything he does, I think he and John had a very good sense of timing and humour, awesome Paul.
Imagine living in a time where you can see one of the most legendary musicians of all time making mashed potatoes on the internet. This is great I was definitely born in the right generation
Do any of you notice Paul can talk and talk and not get tired? Every one of his interviews is very interesting like making mashed potatoes! Many times he's humorous as! So now we now we know he is a cook, comedian, teacher, and he is a magical musician!
Honestly, I really love seeing Paul showing us his intimate side. I really love his home man side, apart from the energy on stages. Linda was a big influence in his life, definitely. Because of her, he changed his live in many ways, mainly, to give importance to the family and animals too. I really admire you Paul! Millions of people admire so so much
Paul- No laughing please, this is a serious cooking program! XD best video on the internet. When I find myself in times of trouble, Paul McCartney comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, STOP IT GLOVEY!!!
I can beat that! I was watching this for about 8 minutes before I realized that behind him WAS two women! I was looking at it, going, "What in the world is that???"
it would be great that John Lennon resurrects from death and ask "could you please tell me what is Paul doing nowadays?" and tell John, "John, my friend, Paul didn't like music anymore and this what he said is his real talent" and show him this video hahahaha
fel arc. I'll show you the video and I'll let you hear the tape that you said you would have sex with the lieutenant and Captain here! Because we got you on a couple of tapes sir we heard everything you said!
John would say that Paul making mashed potatoes is just some real sorry lame Pauly granny shit, and then three minutes later brag about how he's been making mashed potatoes a lot lately.
I love watching Paul McCartney cooking and just talking to us! HE SEEMS relaxed, and is funny! Great sense if humor. !! Paul, you make me laugh.....you are delightful and beautiful. 💖💗💟 Now I need some mashed potatoes!
I literally started clapping when he finished and showed it off and I died when he said "I can hear your clapping from here" or something like that and the other people clapped. I can watch him cook anything, I'll love it.
