That's George singing lead. He is also the composer. This always makes me smile. It is from the Abbey Road album in 1969. Another great George cut from the album is Something. None other than Frank Sinatra called it the greatest love song of the last 50 years.

Something and Here Comes The Sun really showcase Ringo's drumming as well. His fills are always just right, and adding a little bit of skiffle to songs that are otherwise perfect pop songs. Ringo and George were completely geniuses at getting more from less.

@Annie Wilkes I can understand that too --- I have been there myself often. Nothing like a bit of moody grey skies and rain to make you feel the world is in order and you have your own little corner of peace (perhaps with your favorite pet, a good book or movie, a video game or good music, or simply that very special someone in your life (not necessary someone else, it could be yourself)--- I hear you --- a little gloom and rain has produced some of the greatest works of art from some of the greatest artists (Edgar Allen Poe, Jim Morrison, John Lennon ("Rain" etc...) --- I hear you loud and clear and can sympathize. No lie, it's raining outside my window right now here in Brooklyn, NY and I feel the exact opposite of depression --- I think your onto something --- truly.

My dad wanted this played at his funeral because he had 4 daughters and 8 granddaughters and we were his 'little darling's'. He wanted the smiles to return to our faces and to know that it's alright. It was written by George Harrison, who also sings the lead vocals on this beautiful song ❤

as of 2019 this was the most-streamed song in the UK with 53 million plays. John was recovering from a car crash and contributed nothing to the recording. George and Paul recorded their backup vocals twice to create a bigger sound. on the day after George's death in November 2011 fans sang this song at gatherings all around the world.

One of my favourite Beatles songs. It's always refreshing and renewing. A true classic. Its a George Harrison song. George and Ringo had a song on each Beatles record and that was his original song on Abbey Road.

@@luschu5487 Sinatra rated "Something" as the greatest love song of all time. i have no objection to that, but as you said, Here Comes The Sun is the best song on Abbey Road IMHO. I would also put it up there in one of my top 10 songs of all time, in the same respect as a quantum particle, it can move from place to place in an instant. The only difference is that here Comes The Sun doesn't move any further than 10th, and often close to if not #1.

This song sung and written by George Harrison is easily one the best, in my opinion Beatles songs. It’s hard to choose but 8 years and 200 songs later this song still sounds brilliant with 4 musicians who changed the world. And my daughter used to sing this song on the way to school every morning! The first time she did that I said to my daughter “am I rubbing off on you?” She replied “maybe”. Thank you for your reaction!

I can't even describe the memories I have attached to this song, my dad used to play this on the guitar and I remember just being a little kid and feeling so warm and happy singing 'here comes the sun, it's alright'. Such a great song :).

It is a mood shifter. That's why the Beatles are "Let it Be," while the Stones were "Let it Bleed." Polar opposites; yet two great bands. Stones are a bit more intense, for sure. Classic rock period was a marvel to live through; even retrospectively, realizing how much of it does stand the test of time.

I wasn't always a superfan. I was born in 1962 and I remember the Beatles being on the radio all the time. I was a huge fan of the Dave Clark 5, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Freddie and the Dreamers and so many other great bands from the 60s. However, as I have aged I have come to appreciate the Beatles for their variety of songs and undoubted talent. Love them, like them or hate them, I doubt there will ever be another band to have so much global influence on more than just music. The clips from their US tours are insane with all the youngsters going absolutely crazy...

Got to take time to listen to the full album at once. This track is right after "I want you, shes so heavy" There is something about the cut off ending of I want you leading into the gentle beginning of Here comes the sun. Great tension and release feel. Also all of Beatles music is recorded in the 60s and this was a George Harrison creation

The part where it sounds something like an organ is actually a guitar effects pedal called a Leslie Pedal , Jimi Hendrix used the Leslie pedal in several of his songs such as Room full of mirrors if I remember correctly ! I’ve seen him onstage with the speaker that’s used by the Leslie pedal ! The Beatles always experimented with all kinds of instruments and sounds !

Ok, honest mistake (or assumption) by Javon --- can't expect him to know every single detail not being a hardcore fan. I know everyone is going to immediately state that it's George Singing and that it's a George song --- yes, let's give George his props --- this is one of the best tunes ever put out by the best band of all time. But you know, I never get too caught up in all that who wrote what stuff --- every time I hear a song written by Paul back then, I think of it as simply a "Beatle's song". When I hear a song written by John from those days, I simply think of it as a "Beatle's song" ---- same thing here, George wrote a great tune, but it's a "Beatle's song', plain and simple --- no favorites, no nit-picking, I love all of them (yes you too Ringo!). Hell, I have a hard time not thinking of any of their solo songs as being Beatle songs --- it's just me, not sure if other's feel that way.

One of the really awesome things about this 2019 mix is that it really breathed new life into the song. You hear all of the instruments and all of the background vocals so clearly now and even hear things that were previously buried in the mix in the original versions. The first time I heard this mix with the new music video that was made for it, it really blew me away as if I had never heard this song before even though I have heard the song all my life.

The late George Harrison ("the Quiet Beatle" and lead guitarist in the band...) wrote and sang this song. During the ten years that the Beatles existed as a band (1960-1970...), at least 22 of their songs were written by George Harrison. The song "SOMETHING" is one of his compositions.

I have been a Beatles fan since 1964, the age of 15, and it really makes me happy that you are discovering my favorite group! Their music matured as they did, unfortunately when they performed live the fans got so loud they couldn't hear their music over the screams, so they stopped touring. The amount and range of music that they produced between 1962 and 1970 when the group broke up is phenomenal! They were the sound track of my high school and college years. I am so happy that you have discovered them and hope that you reaction videos continue to spread their music to the younger generations. There will never be another group like them, they have influenced artists for the last 50+ years and a lot of their music is on commercials now days, always makes me smile when I hear it.

Couple of years ago, I had cancer surgery, and did some time in rehab, recovering. I started waking every morning at 5 AM. My window looked East.i would lay there in the dark, and play this as the sun rose every morning. Gave me the joy and optimism to get up and fight with the pain and struggle with the therapy.

Hey, my favorite Beatles song! I've been grooving to this for fifty years now. The 2019 mix sounds excellent. So crisp and clean. The 2018 mix of The White Album sounds great too.

A true classic that, like you said, stands the test of time. I can remember being a kid when this song first came out. Then you can imagine the look on my face 2 years ago when I heard my two granddaughters, 8 and 10 years old practicing for their school choir's upcoming concert, and THIS is the song they were rehearsing. Lol...and they couldn't believe it when I came from my room singing along with them😂😂😂 It was priceless...

Keep in mind this is a British group, and in Britain, they see the sun probably one month out of 12. Most of the time, it's raining, it's cloudy and foggy. The fact that the Beatles stopped touring & focused on making music helped them to perfect their craft as far as composition, lyrics and arrangement were concerned. That's also the reason why they had so many songs in a relatively short period of time (7 or 8 years).

This is the 2019 mix, so they were able to take the original records and properly remaster them! Pretty sure some instruments are clearer than they were before as well.

This is one of my favourite Beatles songs and your reaction to it is brilliant and I understand everything you have said Jayvee. This was George Harrison singing the song he wrote, I think George was always a favourite of mine along with Ringo. They were a wonderful band and I remember hearing their first song on my brothers transistor radio, even my Mum loved them while most of her peers called them louts she could sing most of their songs word for word lol. The songs of my childhood bring back great memories thank you, I have never watched any other channel that does reactions and dont feel the need too but that's me lol. My big brother used to call me contrary Mary tll Mum reminded him that was her name too, he rarely ever called me that again lol.
