The more I listen to this song the more I realize what a masterpiece it is. Hard to imagine what music would have been like without the Beatles.

George wrote a bunch of songs that The Beatles didn’t use, so when he started his solo career he already had a collection ready to go. I guess that’s why his first one, “All Things Must Pass” was a triple album .

You are ABSOUTELY correct in your assessment!! This is coming from a fan who was there from the first moment I heard "I Want to Hold Your Hand" at the age of 16 in December of 1963, turning 17 in March of 1964. I have been a huge fan ever since. They are the music of my life and at 74 years old now I am STILL listening to them, it keeps me "young" cos I go right back into my teen and early 20's when the Beatles were an active band. You two have "got it" and totally understand what their influences were AND ARE, to the world. ENJOYED WATCHING YOU!! ROCK ON, guys!

George Harrison was a beautiful soul. Don't get me wrong, he wasn't a perfect human being, but he attempted to express his larger spiritual self through his music. There are so many great songs from his first solo LP (All Things Must Pass) that still stand the test of time. Enjoyed the flashback Guys. PS..The story behind the spontaneous birth of this song with Eric Clapton is pure rock and roll legend.

Yes, George was the Spiritual Beatle. Many people don't realize that because of George western culture was introduced to eastern philosophy, he also help organize the first ever benefit concert with his friend and sitar teacher Ravi Shankar. The Concert of Bangledesh in 1971. He also formed the supergroup The Travelling Wilbury's with some real famous friends. I recommend George's song End Of The Line from them. That is what made the Beatles, seriously, four incredible young men, who were each very unique arriving in the same place at the same time, as if it was divine intervention. They were everywhere in our lives in the 60's, you could not turn on the radio or tv or read a paper without their presence being front and centre. What a gift they were. George would be the alpha in most any other band but he happened to be in the band with the two biggest songwriters in pop music history. I do believe it helped him though as their presence helped raise his game.

There are no words, it does move the soul! It has always been my most favorite Beatles song,ever time I hear this I always cry from shear happiness It's like my soul connects to it on some other level!!!! For my part, it doesn't really matter if they transformed music, the world, or how people wear their hair since then. I'm just grateful to have their music to accompany me as I become older. You guys are right. My first rock music memory is The Beatles when I was around 3 or 4. My family lived in London from 1958 to 1965 and the Beatles started to get really big during that time. One of my older brothers brought home the "Beatles for Sale" album and it is that music that was my introduction. I've been a huge fan ever since. I've essentially never not had the Beatles in my life. They are still my favorite group.

The perfect pop song, the reason the Beatles were the best ever, this song was released 52 years ago, the production still sounds fresh today. When you look at us old guys in their seventies remember that we had the privilege of growing up with The Beatles, Yes and a bunch of other bands you seem to like so much. It's really nice to see appreciation for this kind of music in your generation.

one of the best songs ever while my guitar gently weeps, something, all things must pass and my sweet lord are just as legendary there are new mixes of abbey road, white album and soon also of all things must pass(album, the 2020 mix of the song is already released) you listened to the 2020 mix where the drums and main vocals are switched so the vocals are more present so i prefer to listen to the original mix, at least on headphones

Back in the 60’s Radio stations would only play short songs around 2 minutes long. It was the Beatles that broke this with some of their longer songs.
