People are driving themselves mad trying to collect the last BEATLES single on every colour vinyl imaginable. I had a friend who only collected SMARTIES merchandise -- cups, cannisters, wall art, and the like. He had to have everything SMARTIES, but was stymied when, due to health concerns, they stopped making the Blue Smartie. So here he had an unopened box of SMARTIES in perfect condition with no Blue SMARTIES. It took him 30 years but he finally tracked a guy down on eBay selling one for a few thousand dollars. A happy man my friend was, until five years later when he lost his prize SMARTIE in a divorce settlement.
Amazon are also shipping records in great big boxes here in the UK. They record is usually inside a proper record shipping package but environmentally its a huge waste of cardboard. Anyway glad you got your red vinyl 12" it looks great.
Amazon does that here too. At least it’s safe in that box, but yes it’s a huge waste of cardboard. Plus all the room it takes up in the plane/truck where more packages could be having to use less planes/trucks. But very happy it has arrived. Listened to it a couple of times and it sounds fantastic.
I love the story lol wow...... BUT WOW you did get a big box. Are you sure there is not a Turn table in there too :)!!! I too did get a big box but not as big as the one you got!!! This is a great looking red on this one. Very glad it didn’t get too banged around in that big box. I listened to it a couple of times after I made the video and it sounds fantastic!
Ive been to multiple record stores, no copies available. Stunned by their responses, almost like they werent aware of it. My Target store had 4 beautiful copies on the shelf, so got one today. Super excited
@DavidJohnson-tn2py the app did have the other 7” ones for sale, plus the regular 12”. I’ve been curious if stores ever got more than the red 12”. That would drive me nuts though if the local record shop didn’t know about it.
Online might be your best chance. Wondering if since the initial wave sold so well if they’ll do a second pressing. Even if they did new colors I’m sure it would sell out again.
Hey Beatle Dustino! Cool video here! That is crazy that Target shipped your record in a box like that…at least the record turned out to be okay, but still….Hopefully they will package the clear vinyl better, if you end up getting it. That red vinyl looks really nice! I wasn’t able to get that one, as no Target near me had a copy…but seeing this makes me want to look again. So far, I’ve ordered the cassette, blue and white marble seven inch, and the CD single…and…nothing has come in yet. So I’ve just been listening to Now and Then through streaming, though I’m sure it’ll sound much better on physical media! Either way, I’m loving the new Beatles song…man, I never would’ve thought that I’d be saying that in 2023! Great video!
I’ve got a feeling these will pop up at Target again. Keep your eyes out for it. You got some nice versions coming. I did listen to it after I posted the video. It sounds fantastic on physical 12”. Love Me Do sounded so much better to me too.
Wow that's a gorgeous peace of vinyl congratulations Regarding that dreadful shipping container.. Amazon here in the UK were famous for doing a similar thing Huge boxes 📦 with no protection Or even worse just a carrier bag...I sent so many records back as you can imagine...after I sent 100 emails they have since shipped in proper LP style mailers .....the funniest thing I recived an email from head office wanting to know why am i returning so many orders...😂 Any way it all good now Looking forward to my red and blue Colour vinyl set . Hopefully shipping soon ....Great video 👍
Amazon here has not been too bad. The only thing they do is ship LP’s in LP boxes inside bigger boxes. So lots of waste. Beatley Tone said they did similar in the UK too. Target seems to be most notorious for this. A lot of Tim’s there’s little or no padding added in.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Beatle Dustino! You can’t imagine the times I have received vinyl records from Target shipped in boxes like that. I’ve called them and complained that they need to ship them correctly in the flat album boxes!
Hopefully they will see this and learn. But I doubt it. My cousin’s wife actually works for corporate Target. Maybe I should have him see if she can say anything to the right people about it.
They have such a perfect mailer with the LP shipping box. And I know Target warehouses have them as I’ve received them from them in them. Was that too many them’s? You getting the Red and Blue CD set? It’s been such a fun past couple of days being a Beatles fan.
@samstjohn1994 I feel they’re waiting to ship them with the Red and Blue items if you ordered those too. Then again my marble 7” finally moved to a different location in the tracker.
I have it also with only the same hype sticker as your copy. I think that the A side should have had the red. Apple 🍎 label for. Now and then. A missed target opportunity
I received 2 in the same size box and bot were bent and creased on one corner. Disappointed. Of course they are out of stock so I won't return them. Glad yours was in good shape shape.
I had one from them a while back that was so bad I had to return it. So sorry to hear yours got bent up. I would have been really upset if it happened to Now and Then.
There was a 10" version? It'd be even cooler if it played at 78RPM. There is one Apple single that plays at 78RPM and is a limited edition of the Sundown Playboys' Saturday Nite Special.
I guess our local Target only had 1 in each store because I've been waiting for it to arrive, and when it finally did, it was only 1 in stock and I couldn't find it in store, I had to order online to pick up.
@@BeatleDustino Luckily, I picked it up at the store. But every time I buy records from Target online, they always put it in box but not as big as that one though.
@ganjazz that was a good plan. I should start doing that too when I order them. I think I have them deliver all the time as I got a Red Card and I get free delivery.
