I remember seeing this on the Ed Sullivan show when I was a kid. My parents watched the show every weekend and let me and my sister stay up. Takes me back.

Frank, Nice family moments huh? Me too. Every Sunday. I was just barely old enough to stir the old electric popcorn machine. Probably from the early 1920s. Mom had only recently.allowed me to operate it by myself. As I hadn't turned nine yet. My sister & brother were older and they knew something about what was coming up on Ed Sullivan. Blew my little mind.

I really love Paul's enthusiasm!! John was the talent and driving in the early days but I know he loved how Paul always put in 110% effort!

In addition to being the most creative song of it's era? It is a perfectly constructed tune. The climax coming after the slowed down a cappella voice of John harmonized by Paul & George.. "You know you should-a-hood"... (Pregnant pause) BE GLAD (yeah yeah yeah) etc. Finest ending in Pop/Rock ever. And to this day.

Poor Ringo perched on a riser that the crew built the day before thinking there was '"room enough for one guy". I piece of 1 x 3 was nailed to the back of it, so Ringo's stool could be right at the very back edge, so he had room to swing the sticks.
