It’s a shame George had such a negative attitude towards Paul later on because when those two harmonised it was fucking incredible. Could’ve done with more of it. Plus it’s clear that Paul was working to enhance George’s stuff not sabotage it.
McCartneys harmonies on the bridge are unreal . George is already singing a high full voice part himself, and Paul goes over it . Remember Lennon is nowhere on any of this song, just the Threetles. They grew so fast it defies every law of what's fair to other composers, singers, and instrumentalists. Never be another self contained group like them, possibly ever in popular music. Mozart,Bach,Beetgoven,Scgubert,Chopin were all popular musicians of their period, predominately baroque. The Beatles have that same ears for melody, rhythm, and harmony that the best classical composers had.
Sad ending for the Beatles, George wanted to share his All Things Must Pass Material but John and Paul and George Martin would not embrace it and even George Martin was sorry he did not realize the Genius of Harrison and claiming working with the powerhouse of John and Paul made him not take Harrison seriously!!!! But we can only go on......
@@nicolasalejandro2915 I never heard that, I have almost everything printed and recorded by the Beatles I even have a bootleg Let it be video. In the future I may check out your idea, but nothing leads me to your idea that John never showed up for George's sessions. George played lead guitar on John's totally dish of Paul on How Do You Sleep and the beautiful guitar in Oh My Love. If George believes your premise why would he work with John on his solo career. Actually when Paul suggested that he and George write together George replied, " Why now Paul must be running out of material! " Guess Paul ran out of rhymes of military man, soldier Sam, Jailor man and Dan and lady suffragette.
@@jackdemolay3545 John didn't show up for some of George's songs. I Me Mine from Let It Be comes to mind. Yes, George helped John on the Imagine album but I don't think they really had a good relationship after that in the 70's. John was even hurt cause George didn't give him enough credit in his book.
You are correct Lennon did not care for I Me Mine and called it a Frutie waltz and did a zany dance with Yoko listening to the playback. I liked the auto biography by George of the same name but really not the song so much. Someone who I forgot the name just released a live video from 1969 where all the Beatles worked on All Things Must Pass John and Paul working on harmonies and background vocals! George intimated that the band just work on another song. If you saw The original Imagine video on VHS George did the slide guitar on How Do You Sleep? In which John calls Paul a vulgar slang, the highest rank in Britain for a bloke, of the female body!! And George did not correct John referring to Paul with that disgusting slang! If I come across that u tube video I will share it here. You are intituled to your opinion but I do not share it. Just watch how George told Paul while working on Two of Us he told Paul " I will play whatever you want or I will play nothing at all! "
[Verse 1] Something in the way she moves Attracts me like no other lover Something in the way she woos me [Pre-Bridge] I don't want to leave her now You know I believe and how [Verse 2] Somewhere in her smile she knows That I don't need no other lover Something in her style that shows me [Pre-Bridge] I don't want to leave her now You know I believe and how [Bridge] You're asking me will my love grow I don't know, I don't know You stick around, now it may show I don't know, I don't know
Oh man, this video trying to show how fabulous George was and people "wow, Macca is unbelievable". Oh, shut up!. If Macca kills a dog people go "wow, look how he is great killing a dog". C'mon guys, Macca is great, yeah, but also were the other 3 of them!
All those apparently brilliant George songs mean Paul apparently blocked from Beatles albums , where are those songs? I’ve not heard anything of the equivalent quality. Cos frankly I’m all good with the album selections. George’s best work by a long shot , all ended up on the Beatles albums. How embrassing if the Beatles got sued over My Sweet Lord, (which I love anyway).
because you can hear a little of the playback? ever work in a studio? You are hearing the bleed through from the headphones into the recoding mic, which will be lost in the mixdown as the real voice prominent.
