Yes, we lost several legendary actors from HP, the wonderful Alan Rickman whom played the very complex anti hero, Severus Snape and Richard Harris whom played Dumbledore in the first two movies and now Robbie Coltrane. May they all RIP.
@@jhman378 Snape was the Anti-Hero of the Harry Potter series and books, do you not know what that means in writing and literature? They are even in video games too. Look up Anti-Hero and you will see that Snape falls into this category as apposed to Harry being the hero of storylines.
@@thegoodreylo4749 Yes, she was Narcissa Malfoy ( Nee Black ) and also the voice of Stelmaria, In His Dark Materials, they actually dedicated an episode too her. Also there was a young actor that played Marcus Belby, the one eating a lot at the Slug Party, he was stabbed in the riots of 2011 by some thug, his brother tried to protect him.
Playing this is kind of bittersweet, there's something so pure and beautiful that takes you back to each moment when you first heard every track, that time when we were young and had little to no worries, I remember being a kid and pretending I was a wizard while pretending a stick I found on the ground was my magic wand and that I'd go to Hogwarts someday and be in Ravenclaw. Those memories I still cherish, but is also sad, knowing that time has past and you grew up. Honestly, knowing the books and films will be there whenever I want to disconnect from the world and just go to this magic place where I'm untouchable, guess that makes it so special and timeless
As soon as the video started I was transported back to being a 10 year old in line to see Sorcerer's Stone with my family at the local cinema, surrounded by a bunch of other equally excited people of all ages. :D HP=my childhood Do I still love it, after all this time? *Always.*
Being that same age, or maybe I was 11 I think, but very close- It was so special, wasn't it? We grew up with the cast/characters. It was in many ways rather intense in retrospect. Special, bonding, sometimes a bit traumatic when things became so dark. Becoming adults at that point and seeing how awful the real world can actually be. Cathartic and just.. surreal. I'm very excited to show Potter to my kiddos when they are old enough. But I'm not sure anyone will ever experience the magic quite the same way that our generation did.
@@grump9001 Yes! I'm so glad I was part of the generation to grow up with HP. Reading/watching a great series will always be great, of course, and I'm so happy to think of the new generations of kids who will discover the world of HP, but it's not the same as that anticipation for each new installment, theorizing about what's going to happen, dressing up as the characters for midnight releases, etc. And, of course, as you say, we grew up alongside Harry, Ron and Hermione, and there's just something special about that.
I'm still listening and I cried. It hits me very much, because part of me died when this series ended. But I still believe, that hogwarts exists. Is there somebody like me? Someone who still can't move on and forget?
I cried as a child when a read the first episode if Harry Potter, only because I hated to believe that there were no such magical and wonderful place in this world...
‘Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home’ Go to bed with this music, I have loved Harry Potter for a decade. I remember 2 year old me going with my family to Warner bros studio tour London and being in awe of it. Who would have thought 10 years later I’d be obsessed with it still?
Honestly the deathly Hallows part 2 had such fantastic music.. Truly heart touching.. Especially Lily's theme, such a nice sound track. Kudos to the developer
I think I see what you did there... was the "Always!" on purpose? Because if it wasn't, you can't love the series that much. Always is a very deep word, that is a very meaningful word to Severus Snape. If you didn't know that, you are not a potterhead. But if you did it on purpose, good job, you might be a true potterhead! BTW, I don't say this to hate on you, so I'm sorry if it came across that way.
Buckbeak's flight gets me every time, I absolutely love that scene, and only wish to be able to fly such a magical creature with such magical music surrounding it
I'm honestly crying whilst listening to this. Harry Potter were not just books for me, it was a world, the only one where I found my existence to be worthy. It was my Room of Requirement throughout my school life. It is even now. Until the very end!
I watched Harry Potter like 10 years ago(2011) and I was so sad that my childhood was over and there will be no other movie of this franchise. Years passed and I got into my problems and works. In between this years I didn't got the time to watch this movies nor to think about them. In this quarantine I watched the series again but with a twist, I didn't remember any of the story as well as the characters. The only character I knew was Harry. It was a completely different experience I always wanted an experience watching this movies first time no knowing what will happen. I'm glad that I forgot about the movies and watch them again. :'')

It’s just remarkable what Harry Potter has achieved. 8 films in a row, all consistently great and dazzling scores on top of all that. There’s not a single bad film in this franchise and I can’t think of any other massive franchise like it. Not even Star Wars could manage this.
@@morganking4937 , yes I’ve read the books and yes the 4th and 6th film piss me off and I could go on and on for how many mistakes these movies made but for every 5 things they screw up, they get 15 other things right. I don’t think Harry Potter fans appreciate how lucky they are in comparison to so many other fandoms.
I would say that the only truly horrible film is the half blood Prince, Dumbledores death is well done but the obsession with teenage love stories makes me cringe so much
as far as movies go harry potter franchise is i would say most successful , all the films are engaging and beautiful maybe not as detailed as the books.@@morganking4937
Lily’s theme will always be my favorite. It’s so bone chilling and for me sounds like the fall of everything. Harry has lost dobby, Voldemort has the elder wand, and they do not know who to trust. The movie starts with this theme. The heroes have fallen. The villains are on the verge on success as everything crumbles around them. That is the start of Part 2. That is the start of the heroes making their return against the villains after a heavy loss. That is my favorite theme.
Dumbledore has the most powerful wand. Voldemort controls the ministry, the order of the phoenix is in shambles. The battle of hogwarts was really the resistances last stand. If they lost that they would have lost the entire war. EVERY order of phoenix and DA member was there
Im a Lego HP collectioner, and every time I get new sets I play this playlist. Now it is a habit. Something I casually do while building. You can imagine how many times I had to replay this 1 hour video while building Chamber of Secrets…many haha
wouldn’t it be hella amazing to get a letter one day from hogwarts? and hagrid showing up at your door, telling you that you’re a wizard? then, a few moments later, you poof up at hogwarts entrance. you will get to go through all these crazy adventures with 2 people that you meet there.. man i love harry potter. i will bring my own wand with me when i go off to college. that’s how extra i will be.
Takes me back to simpler times. It reminds me of my childhood when I watched chamber of secrets in the living room over and over again until I fell asleep. I was so in love with it. I had such a beautiful childhood thanks to Harry Potter .
@apex Excuse you! If it weren't for Dobby, Harry and his friends wouldn't have survived Malfoy Manor. So unless you want Voldemort to win, you better hope Dobby's around to save the day!
@apex How dare you! Without both elves, the series would've been a complete mess! Dobby saved Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, Dean, and Ollivander's life. Without Dobby, they wouldn't have escaped and Voldemort would have won. Kreacher was a great help too, no doubt about that. But Dobby lost his life trying to protect Harry and his friends. His bravery you obviously cannot appreciate.

You can see that the number of classic songs increases as the story goes on, turning darker and darker, which proves huge emotions give rise to masterpiece.
I'm never bored with this music and those films. It's my childhood as much as Lord of The Rings can be. Each time I watch them, it makes me feel in peace and I just forget all the current problems in our world. It's magical and unique !
It's honestly incredible... I travel to other worlds and realities just by listening to one minute of this masterpiece... But "a window to the past" should be in there, it's in my opinion one of the best sounds of the hp series.
haha i can do the homework and listening the songs in the same time. each time I heard that my favourite parts of the songs I will stop my homework and focus the music .
Its always bitter sweet. Life pales in comparison to what life would be like if Hogwarts and the magical world were real. Maybe it tells us more about ourselves when we prefer to live in a fantasy world than the real world 😐.
Hi! I'm a pianist and a real Harry Potter fan, so I created a piano blind test of the Harry Potter films, I would LOVE to know your score and to know who is the best potterhead!!
Hearing dumbledore’s farewell brining back memories when I first saw it in theaters;(. Cried so much when madam pomfrey had her wand out Nd then everyone else did the same. Everyone in the theater turned the flashes on their phones Nd held them up, truly special Nd sad at the same time.
"The stories we love best do live in us forever. So whether you come back page or the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home." J.K Rowling
for me "Dumbledore's farewell" 36:07 is actually Severus' farewell, with all his hidden love and courage. Odd enough, the person I miss the most is Severus, and for me this is his theme.
That part of the last harry potter book, when harry discovered the life of severus and, ya know, was the only scene in all of harry potter and in all of the books that ive read so far that made me cry so hard my heart ached and my breathing shortened. It felt like i lost someone and i could never tell them how much they mattered and that it was alright. The movie scene, in my opinion, didnt reach that same level i was hoping to get, but i appreciated their attempt.
Sounds like the first time I went to Harry Potter World in Universal Studios Orlando, Florida. I'm tearing up at the thought of that magical moment. I would give anything to relive it. Also reminds me of the Harry Potter Lego Years 1-4 Game.
This music makes up arguably the greatest score in movie history. A unique blend of orchestration with a bit of pizzazz is magic itself. Unlike other films which use very regimented, simplistic music, this score builds upon a feeling of mystery and love. Odd emotions that are more alike than we think. J.K. Rowling's masterpiece of Harry Potter was connected beautifully with this music.
I think that is more true for the earlier scores than the later ones... then again, there is something to the unique combination and progression of styles over the course of the movies.
Listen to this when reading harry potter. I listen to the sound track made for that specific scene, it makes me cry during the sad parts though.... Cedric Diggory, Severus Snape, Dobby, Fred Weasly, and Sirius Black is all I am going to say...
This music touches my soul and brings tears to my eyes every time. I think it's just the sheer nostalgia, that feeling of safety and comfort of my youth, the inspiration, love, and power I felt from these stories. Thank you for sharing.
It's crazy to think I was just five when the first movie came out. This amazing series will always be a huge part of me. Thank you, Harry, for being there when I needed you ♥️
I love the selection of music, especially the Nicholas Hooper section actually. You took me on a beautiful journey through this nostalgic series in just an hour, amazing.
people can hate hp, new generations can say the older ones were obsessed with hp, but we can't disagree that this is one of the best fantasy ever written and i myself never have been a fan of it but hp made me liked the genre. lotr and hp raised generations
when everything here, outside, is as dreadful as it is right now, this is the only scape. funny, how a place i’ve never been at feels more like home than my own household, and how a ‘simple story’ means more to me than my ‘real’ life. here is where i belong, and although i cannot enter the world physically, i can always take my heart and soul there, by pages, by music, and by films. how beautiful it is to feel beloved and fulfilled, and how horrid it is not to be able to live what truly makes you happy. oh, to dream. and yes, while i’m here, away from where i belong, i’ll fight for what’s right, and live the life i was assigned... but with the only hope that, when i’m all alone again, late at night, i’ll be able to come back home.
Nothing has more nostalgia for me in all of media than the Harry potter score, this music will literally never leave my head, it will accompany me to my grave
I'm not the religious type, but I think 2000's kids are really quite blessed to have grown up with the HP books and movies. The content grew more mature and visually advanced as we stumbled through childhood, then adolescence, until we finally took our first steps into adulthood as the series came to a close. HP came of age as we all did. It instilled in us the power to overcome the darkest hardships of this world, and find our greatest strength through love and friendship. Even though we will all lose those we love one day, and it may feel like the darkest forces begin to surround and consume everything we know, we will always hold that magic within each of us to keep on fighting for a better tomorrow... Always.🦌
A truly emotional soundtracks, every moment I listen to this a wave of nostalgic wash over me. Every vibrato from the violin and dynamic change from the piano is a new way of expressing feelings without using those plane hollow words. “Music is beyond everything we do here” I really agree with Dumbledore’s breath taking quote, not because I play an instrument but how the magical ring of music brings more emotion than words. These music were brought to you after many month of practicing and failures but they pushed themself up again. A lotus flower doesn’t grow beautiful before it pushes through the harsh weathers. As every movie’s music go on, the sounds are softer and sadder as if they are grieving. Only pure talent can play the way they did. If you ask why I still listen to these soundtracks? I would say “always” not because it’s a classic joke but…they bring back memories and sometimes tears of…appreciation. Thank you for putting your time to gather the scatted musics and bring back scattered memories. “A small act creates a huge ripple” have a good night or day to you all.
I made a harry potter musical tribute if you want to hear it Its called Hogwarts Is Your Home #hogwarts #harrypotter #music #tribute ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8sfzFCwyYuM.html
Very well put. I think the series wouldn't have been quite as successful without these beautiful scores. They evoke so many emotions and memories of the scenes in both the books and movies. ✨🎶
This music instantly brought me back to my childhood, as a child and now an adult I’ve always loved Harry Potter! Thank you so much to whoever posted this, you’ve brought back my childhood! Also I’m a slytherin!!! 🐍
Thank so much for making this. It unleashed my inner Ravenclaw. I have been watching and reading Harry Potter for 4 years, since I was 5 years old. It helps me relieve my stress and pain and anxiety that has been building up in my body for hours. Once again thank you for putting a smile on my face.😊
