I used play video games. But today i mostly walk around in the many game worlds that i have played to the end and look around the beauty of the world. I dream about becoming a game maker my own and creating a another beautiful world for many to see.

My mentality is the same. But it's a little sad when I explored the entirety of the map in a game that i like. it makes me wish i could pick a direction in a world that i like and go there forever and keep seeing places i have never been to. I'm also quite attached to the idea that a place i explored might never be seen by anyone else. That's why I have been interested in procedural generation. It is my hope thare will be a procedural generator that can make realistic varied infinite terrain with multiple biomes, seasons, and unique structures et cetera. I have also dabbled in gamedev, not too seriously, just Beginner stuff, but who knows, maybe one day in the future, I'll create my perfect infinite world

It's amazing how few games as old as 2008 had wonderful graphics. I think 2008-12 were breakthrough years for video game graphics.

Y'know... it feels... like a damn shame sometimes that so much beautiful art gets put into finished products that end up being forgettable. If not bad. Fidelity isn't everything. Detail isn't either. But... sometimes it really is nice to step back and really take it all in. I can... only hope that these worlds can be preserved. And if not, well... at least we still have footage of it. Proof that it was there.

Nice video but no Drakes fortune? Literally have moments set up to admire the beauty of the landscapes. Also GOW, fenyx rising, dishonoured 2, Kena,ico, shadow of the colossus, the last guardian, inside, limbo, little nightmares, ZELDA! etc... Have to agree with Ori though. Superbly beautiful game! One of my all time favourites

just imagine, Crysis came out in 2007 (actually the remastered one does not even change the whole game), Arkham knight came in 2015, Vanishing of Ethan carter came in 2014. Bioshock infinite came in 2013! Ah! those nostalgia makes me sad now. There was perfect balance between graphics and story. now a days most of the games are just graphics oriented and many of them lack story line. Death Stranding is still the most realistic graphics in the game history. Then comes Far cry 5 (not new dawn). The grasses and lands were just too photorealistic.
