@@Zogerpogger Traxler is still always good, if White plays the perfect stockfish engine moves and ONLY THEN theyre slightly better. You can then just play your chess and win with discovered attacks.

@@lukasantos6991 at the 900 level, opponents don’t play “normal” opening moves. I use caro Kahn, and have only played against the fantasy once, yet I have played against the grunfeld Paris variation multiple times.
As a new player watching hours and hours of these tutorials, what tends to happen is 2 or 3 moves into a game my opponent does some crazy nonsense that's totally wrong, but I'm immediately having to think for a while about how to react. And a good amount of the time I come up with something regrettable.

@@ENoob Yep the Queen's Guard are the soldiers that guard Buckingham Palace, Beefeaters are traditionally the guards of the Tower of London though they are more of a tourist attraction these days than the Queen's Guard who are actual trained soldiers.

@@07aniketdeysarkar26 Nah, the South Indians are the *true* Indians. They arrived in the subcontinent c. 4000 BCE, whereas the North America Indians arrived in the subcontinent c. 1900 BCE.

I played some chess as a kid and now I'm taking it up again. I never studied any theory and just played for fun. I steadily improved my end game and got better at spotting tactics. But I usualy come out of the opening behind in either time or position. Up until about 1250 this worked out fine, the oponent usually blunders enough in the middle game to make smaller advantages trivial. I got stuck at 1250 for like 200 games so I decided to accually pay attention to the openings when watching RU-vid. As an Eric Rosen fan I decided to learn the London for my white games and Stafford gambits for my 1. e4 black games. Having a plan as white, and in most the games as black helped me get to 1450. I have been in the market for a response to 1. d4 and i think this could be it. Studying this might be enough to push me above 1500.
One of the biggest helper in openings is time of the game. My time is eastern and if I cannot sleep well, than I play chess! Usually players from my time zone make some mistakes, specially if game is 2 or 3 in morning! Second, if players from beginning of game play so fast, than after few moves start to think, I now already know, I’m going to get a win on time! And so on...As usually, you have excellent comments!
I’m actually starting to like playing black better than white. I really like most of the black openings I’ve been learning and using more. And my win rate with black seems better than with white. Maybe I need to work harder on my white openings.

Rosen gets popular with Stafford gambit and everyone now wants to get popular using unknown lines. Reason Eric got so popular is because SG is an opening he actually playes and dint read up the theory just for content
