The controller input looks weird because I’m using my Dualsense Edge, and there’s something weird going on with the RS (constantly elevated) and the face buttons (square is mapped to X). Need to figure it out but if there are questions I’ll be doing a stream!
Craziest thing about the jamal murray behind the back is that I have never seen him do this is real life.. its a shame the whole dribble gameplay is based on 2 or 3 moves. SGA sigs are hot garbage like why won't they make other effective moves. Seeing the moves over and over really makes the game boring. Kevin Cruz gets a pass because at least he is trying but most players will only Jamal murray + John wall combo over and over and say their good when you are literally spamming 2 two simple controls. I refuse to equip them because I wanna do my own thing.. thats me tho. 70 win % BTW cause I know bots will say im trash for having any criticism of this game.
I only get to play on the weekends due to my work schedule but these video’s really keep me in the loop and give me hope of at least getting the basic hang of things. Been a 2k guy since sega dreamcast 💪🏽
Question, what are y’all looking at to the get the right blend of dribble animations? Like what are you looking at before you make your next stick input?
Seems like I don’t have that skill in me to execute that L2 wizardry… so I been learning to get creative with the normal stuff 😢. Good vid tho Kev! You doing your thing in the community!
Try starting with all Normal or all Pro dribble moves. The different sigs have different windows for cancelling, you might find some combination of sigs that works better for your playstyle.
You can’t expect to watch a couple videos and then take this online, go work on just dribbling in the Gatorade or some other open court setting until that shit is muscle memory and you aren’t thinking of mechanics anymore.
And one combo for the post to try out is the post spin to a Kevin Huerter hop shot going to the non-dominant hand side, creates a lot of space if you’re good with timing the shot.
I made a comment about this on "the easiest way to score in nba 2k24 video" trying to explain how l2 canceling gives you more options and its not just for speed boosting but i had replys that were ignoring what i said and even you replied pretty much ignoring my comment by saying you dont l2 cancel . Issue with stuff like this is there is no counter for this on defense because the game wasn't made with this in mind. With the massive delay online in REC games, you have to literally read a mf mind to stop this shit. You can't react off pure stick speed because you're already working from behind playing an online game with such noticeable delay. Add a guy who is even a little bit competent changing his dribble moves every now and then plus a screen, and you're literally helpless.
sup kevin, i use keyboard on all my 2k games since 2k9... obvoiusly im a PC gamer, the only thing i cant find is that L2 equivalent..... i really want that in my game
Homie will you please do a full dribble tutorial + showing the best dribble animations? I know that other people have made vids but the way you calmly explain things is 10/10 and I think it'd really help the new guys in the community
Man you’ve become my favorite dribble god. You have so many moves that most don’t use. And you don’t over dribble either. When you dribble and blow past the defender you either go for a midrange shot or layup and or pass. The average dribble god will just do a behind the back or something to come back to the defender
Exactly man, I know all the moves, but I find it a useless exercise to over complicate dribbling. Most people can’t even guard a sizeup burst, there’s no need to hit 3 more moves to end up back where the defense is 😂
I watched you explaining how to speed boost and I still don’t understand, it seems like I’m not able to do it, or maybe I am doing and just not noticing. Keep up with the uploads. Maybe you could make a video on which stats someone should prioritize when making a build

if it's someone who's only tryna shoot, just sit on one side of them. They're gonna try to go left right left right but their whole animation gets killed when you bump them from the side
W vid! One thing to mention is ball handle def plays a part in how well you can cancel out and chain moves together. Once ppl start labbing different sigs and dribble styles and figuring out the rhythm/timing for the input they’ll see a lot open up. You can do some things at lower BH too, just have to have the right sigs on.
