The camarilla was formed in the 1490s, and the nosferatu clan disciplines are animalism, obfuscate, and potence not presence.

That Saulot story was hilarious, btw. I could very clearly picture the Tremere picking Saulot out of his teeth, eyes darting around, refusing to make contact with anyone else. "You had the balloon on your mailbox" was what made me snort.

Awesome 🤟🏻 Therese a lot of great lore channels for a lot of IP:s out there (some of the best are in WH40k). Been looking for a channel for White Wolf stuff that compaires to that. I love to follow those typer of channels for my favorit IP:s on RU-vid. You my friend have potential! And there are an "blue ocean" in this area of RU-vid. Outstar does some stuff... but... Great animations and art for the Channel. Sorry for any spelling misstakes

I appreciate the work you put into these and the thought behind them. But if I may, this one doesn't really feel like a beginner's guide. For one thing, the title says "Beginner's Guide to V:TM Lore." But if I'm to understand the state of play correctly, the 5th edition Lore is considerably different from 1st edition, or really, any preceding edition, in that the Final Nights have come and gone and the status quo has vastly changed on a number of fronts. So maybe a better title would be "Beginner's Guide to VTM 5th Edition Lore." Also, frankly, I feel like it's not really a beginner's guide. I feel like to truly understand what you're discussing, you would have had to have been playing and somewhat keeping up with the lore from previous editions for some time. If I'm listening to something called a beginner's guide, I'd prefer at least a quick rundown at the beginning. "In the beginning, Cain killed his brother Abel and was cursed by God to become a vampire. In his loneliness, Cain created more vampires like himself; the first 13 would go on to be the progenitors of the 13 clans in the World of Darkness. However, these 13 childer would prove to be massive disappointments to Cain, and he in turn would curse them (much like the Lord had done to him!) and they would split off and travel the Earth, pursuing their own ends and philosophies. Fast forward to today. You play a vampire living in modern times. The 13 clans have formed a society that both feeds upon and influences human civilization. Much like modern humans, a modern vampire's life is filled with night-to-night struggles, varying degrees of intrigue and mystery, and underneath it all, existential questions like, 'Am I really still a person, or just a monster who pretends to be one?' In this video, I'll tell you about this, this, and this and by the end, you'll have a fairly firm grasp of what's going on in Vampire: The Masquerade." And so on. I just feel like a bit of formatting and organization would do wonders for your content, overall.

Hi there! First off, thank you for the listen and the feedback. There’s a couple of reasons this video may only touch upon certain things briefly, but that’s because I know I’ll be making tons of recordings for V:tM. If I recall correctly, it’s not that the end of nights have come and gone... it’s more like it’s still happening, or it’s been postponed. It definitely hasn’t passed them by, as the events with the Ravnos Antediluvian, Technocracy, Kindred of the East as well as the nuke in Stygia still happened, therefore the Reckoning it still a thing along with the Demons popping out. To be fair though, when I recorded this I hadn’t gotten my scripting down like I have in the newer recordings. Also, the lore of Caine has been dialed back to common theory, and not dictated fact, more than likely so WW (or Modiphius now) don’t have to worry about tripping themselves up with following books. But again, that’s the thing about these Guides; there’s going to be a Beginners Guide to Clans which dives in waaaay deeper, and even lost/broken/rumored/sundered clans and their disciplines, as well as homerule style ways to use the old clans and disciplines in V5.

you know seem like the various games, like vampire the mascarade, werewolf the apocalipse,demon the fallen, etc how the hell the humans dont discover all of that, I mean there are more that 5 races that can use magic, 2 o then are humans, then we got the small part that are hunter and if we count the angels and demons, a more important question comes to my mind, how a war between all of those races hasnt even started,

Yeah, but with the Hunger system implemented, along with Predator types, they've never been as integral to gameplay as they are now.

Typically you roll one attribute and one skill. You just use your best judgement for what seems the most appropriate.

So much for "and it harm none, do what you will", eh? Lol The mistake wasn't the research, it was being new to recording. This video is more than a little old at this point, and back then I used to make the mistake of not scripting and just going off the top. Needless to say that is no longer the approach.
