Also "Major Coats" was basically just a cut character, there's speculation that if you didn't survive the suicide mission in Me2, you would've played as him instead for Me3
"Just came up for a quick drink" - the biggest lie Kaidan will ever tell. But noooo, it's almost over! I'm so sad. It's been so fun to watch, though, and this episode had so many big moments! I loved how often you would catch Tali and Garrus flirting, and your comments during Garrus' outing on the Citadel DLC. It had me so hyped for you to catch them, and it was fun to finally see that. But the goodbyes are so hard, and I'm bawling with you over Kaidan's goodbye on Earth. I want to say I'm excited for the next episode, which I am, but it's going to be sad that it's ending. I love that you're doing the second Citadel Party for N7 day, though. That's so perfect, and I'll definitely be watching. Happy beach time episode part 2, I'm looking forward to it!
Thank you for Kai Lame, that will forever be my name for him from now on I was glued to my seat for the whole premier! Just an awesome video. Thank you Basic and Taylor!
I love NOT doing the renegade interrupt against him. It's somehow more insulting. Shepard just moves to the side like it's nothing and looks at Kai Leng like he's an idiot (he is) before stabbing him.
I'm so tempted to just quote Kaidan's lines, because they're so good. Instead, I'll use the lines that perfectly summarize how I feel about the series. "It's been a good ride." "The best."
"This is for Thane you son of a bish"...one of my favorite moments in any game. When I do comment about something missed there is no judgement or thinking it is a bad play through...I just want you to be aware about it to experience it for yourself if you ever do play the game again, especially in this series. It is your first play through and I am glad you enjoyed it so much. I have seen when I edit my videos and I think to myself, "How could I miss that, ran right past it three times and it is highlighted with scan or special vision". Also by the time you see these comments it is sometimes three or fours videos later. The human reaper part is the same, the only difference is what part Cerberus is using. If destroyed base then it is the heart and if not destroyed the base then it is the brain. I think they differ a little in war assets and I am not sure if it looks very different if it is the heart or the brain, stage wise. 38:36 You probably already figured it out, you did with the other entries but the first entry about EDI there is "that was you?" conversation prompt, just some interesting conversation with EDI. The conversation wheel can be funny sometimes...after multiple play throughs I am still not sure when it is a prompt that advances conversation or not😅 47:59 I do see there was a little cut so not sure if it was in the part that was cut or not but in that area there is another terminal with entries. Not end of the world stuff, just some conversation if you ever want it. James is right outside the building you climb down the ladder at the base, before talking to Kaiden...no great lose if not a fan of James. The primark is in the same room as Garrus and can be talked to. Thank you for sharing your play through with us. I liked it and have watched from ME1.
@basicwitgirl, would you ever consider doing a 2nd playthrough of the ME series on RU-vid with different decisions and experiences in the future? Like MaleShep or would you do another FemShep? Different backstory? Etc? Just curious because your playthrough of the ME series has been the most entertaining one I've seen and I'm a little sad to see it end like a good show i binge watch. Also props to your editor Taylor (sorry if i got the name wrong) for the amazing work
Everyone be like "RIP Shepard!" and basic is "Nooo I'm not dying!" lol Collectors base actually has no impact, one of meaningless decisions. If you did not keep it Cerebrus would find that reaper larva corpse anyway. EDI was actually on the moon that rogue AI in ME1 side mission. If you missed it from those videos in Cerebrus main base.
1:56 after you are done, you should look into the MEHEM mod and the Citadel Epilogue Mod. they are PERFECT for your head canon, and maybe a theoretical 2nd playthrough.
Joker salutes @ 01:22:22 .. ok see you next Monday, I'm really excited to see which decision you'll choose... I've played through the Trilogie 6 times... and I think "this one ending " is imo the best so far, even if others say otherwise... *cheers
Kai lame renegade interrupt one of my faves. I missed it first time and reloaded the save, lol. And the long goodbyes at the end of this episode were a nice touch by Bioware, albeit a sad one. Kaidan was right, it has been a good ride. Now, one last time into the breach! Can't wait to see your end game choices and Taylor's 2 hours later spongebob edit while you decide
Glad to see at least one other player went with the Kaiden romance at least once for ME trilogy. Kaiden isn't so bad. Garrus is best bro but I don't romance him he's more the best bud type.
I will now start to call Kai Leng Kai Lame. Also I loved watching your reactions to the game and your romance with Kaiden. I think a video of your Kaiden romance as a video featuring all the scenes together would be fun for people to watch.
Bioware is so good at making these gutwrenching scenes, jfc. Bwg held it together more than I thought, all things considering. I can't say the same for myself tho...
If you nuke the base they recover the heart and use it as a power plant - it ends up giving less War Assets but overall Cerberus should be weaker that way.
You missed the first prompt in the videos talking about EDI and I have a suspicion that you didn't get that she was the Rogue VI you took out on the Moon, in Mass Effect 1. And the "signaling for help" part was referring to the binary code that popped up on screen after you killed it, spelling out "HELP". :) EDIT: you also missed James on Earth, right after landing and, from the looks of it, missed Victus in the same room as Garrus. Just saying that because it seems you kinda started gunning through the game towards the end and started to miss things because of it...
Yes! Which Dragon Age are you doing? Are you doing the first one or Inquisition? I’m glad you’re going to eventually do Andromeda but I’m so excited about Dragon Age! 😁
What a long strange trip it’s been(and a hell of a fun, exciting, and at times heartbreaking ride). Hats off for Kaiden doing Canada proud representing us Canucks in the 22nd century future(the country must have been doing pretty good for Alliance HQ to be located in Vancouver at the start of Mass Effect 3 when the Reapers invade. 🇨🇦🫡). Mass Effect is one of the few video game playthroughs I can watch others play, but considering I never get tired of reliving the series through another persons fresh eyes, it’s been more than enough. As for Miranda being right next to The Illusive Man at the start of Mass Effect 2, I don’t see that as a plot hole. Considering the number of Cerberus troops there defending the base, there’s no way in hell TIM would trust that many people with knowledge of where to find him. Which leads me to believe he has some way to transport people there blind, whether by encrypted location coordinates for navigation or simply blindfolding anyone needing/wishing to travel there, he’s WAY too careful to not do so(hell, he doesn’t even share his own real name with top Cerberus members, who also refer to him as TIM when not calling him “Boss” or “Sir”). It wouldn’t shock me if Kai Lang didn’t even know the coordinates to get there himself when he was being tracked back there. That’s my head canon anyway. 🤷♂️
