In 1933, there were concentration camps for Jews and footage of them available. But why would the Nazis present their terrible deeds to the public?
It´s summer 1933 when a Nazi film crew documents the early days of the concentration camp for Jews in Oranienburg, near Berlin. The concentration camp footage is intended to give insight into the daily life of Jews in a concentration camp.
In 1933, most of the prisoners in the concentration camps for Jews belonged to the political opposition: Communists and Social Democrats. Among the prisoners in the Oranienburg concentration camp were not only Jews, but also the Social Democrat Gerhart Seger. In 1934, he was spoke about the truth in the Oranienburg concentration camp for Jews. In December 1933, after nine months of imprisonment, Seger managed to escape from the concentration camp.

I love these series and I'm very glad they've been uploaded here. But why does every image that is potentially disturbing have to be blurred out?? I've seen it on other documentaries on RU-vid also. We're not children, that's why you have to sign in to see certain things. People need to see uncomfortable things. I'm very against this heightened level of censorship I've seen in the past few years. Censor out any potentially offensive words, any potentially offensive images. It might "trigger" or "offend" someone. Guess what? Sometimes we need to be disturbed, triggered, and offended. That's how we learn about the real world, and how to not repeat certain periods in our history...

I greatly respect the fellow in the light blue shirt who is speaking in Modern Hebrew. He probably speaks fluent German at least, and at least good, if not fluent German, English, etc. But some people, after surviving Nazism, went to Israel and refused to speak in any language but Hebrew ever after.

Partly, because there was no international press and media to show what was happening. Even photographs of that time are few and far between because it was horribly expensive to have a picture taken. Besides, who was going to put Queen Victoria on trial when England was the dominant imperial ruler? There was no NATO or UN or League of Nations during that time. It's so horrible what happened. I had a family member who was at treblinka. They were hurt there and thankfully didn't die. What sucks is they had to leave the camp after they fell out of the guard tower and were sent to the eastern front.
