The fact we all notice how much you look like each other ,but most important matter that Story is the most unique cherish calm loving girl in this world shows how it's all a miracle from GOD , She is a Miricale that was meant to come to you and you are so to her👼🙏💎
In Sweden we make a similar cake which we spread shredded coconut on top of. It gives the cake a nice texture and flavour. Something you could try maybe. The frosting we make out of butter, powdered sugar, cacao and coffee or water if you don’t like coffee. We call these Kärleksmums, which can be translated to something like Love Treats.
I clean as I go if I am able to. My mother and grandma made their Texas sheet cake with coke in it. I can not remember how much. I would have to check the cookbook. We cooked ours on the stove also. The frosting is made the same way, but sometimes we would chop up walnuts and mix it in. Then spread it evenly. I really like these little baking segments with you and Story. ❤
@ronisuemunster8813 It sounds like Cracker Barrel's unbelievably moist and delicious; "ChocolateCocaColaCake" Search online for the "copy cat recipe"... chocolate heaven! 😋🤎
My grand daughter uses her little baking stool, to push it around the house & get into stuff 😂😂😂 But her baking with me just like her mother did is my absolute favorite thing to do with her, I laugh the whole time we’re in there, in fact, my husband says if I’m in that kitchen baking with Danni, you might as well turn the tv off bc you can’t hear it for us giggling lol…….he says he’d rather hear us than anything on that that tv anyway lol ❤
I love making Texas sheet cake so much! My mom is from Texas so she introduced me to making this and then she added it to a cookbook she made me. It's so fun to make and tastes so good! I can't wait until I'm able to bake again so I can make this!
I loved baking and cooking with my two girls! When you talked about Story standing on a stool next to you some day, it made me smile remembering my girls, one on a stool and one standing on a chair, helping and then licking the beaters while their daddy would try to steal the bowl. Such fun and wonderful memories! ❤😊
Just a note for helpful folks saying the recipe is in the Description. It was not there when those of us were the first to watch and comment. Great to see it there now, thanks! 😊
I applaud you for including Story on this. She's an absolute joy, so endearing and gorgeous baby! Needless to say, teaching your child how to cook is a wonderful way to make her independent. Congrats!
This IS my favorite dessert! My Grandma made it a lot and wow was it good! Brings back nice memories ❤ I make the cake and frosting with buttermilk like my grandma did, it gives it that Texas Sheet Cake flavor! Yummy!
I'm excited for baking videos when Story starts walking! Lol.. JK, You'll be baking with a babysitter then, until she's 4!lol.. Ahhh, the chasing videos coming soon! The best! ❤❤❤❤
❤I also make a big mess and clean it later. Baking requires lot of concentration on the measurement quantities, texture etc., We cant worry about the mess while we are working on it.
Crazy, I've been in Austin, TX since the day I was born, but I've never heard of nor had Texas sheet cake! I will definitely be on the lookout to try it! But one of my family's favorite desserts I make every Christmas and then many more times throughout the year, is Sopapilla Cheesecake. It's sooooo good and I'd bet that you've never heard of it! So that would be something fun to try and make someday. You can find the recipe online very easily.
Yummy! I make this also and add pecans to the icing and a 1/2 to one teaspoon of cinnamon! Your pan is called a jelly roll pan! I’ve never put sour cream in mine. I will have to try that! ❤
It’s a great cake. I’ve made it for 50 years and my mom before me. It’s always devoured and not a crumb left over at potlucks or parties. We put in a tsp of cinnamon. It makes it taste chocolatier.
Hi Bella, I'm from South African, and my family love our traditional desserts ... malva pudding, koeksisters, lemingtons and so much more.... enjoy the baking ❤
Oh so cute! I’ve always liked to bake..or at least try to bake. Something about me is I always need the recipe written out as I bake! I have no recipe remembered
