My husband was a 19 year old soldier who very cheesy sang this to me at our local during kareoke. I had the last laugh I had to tell him I was 14 and my dad was his RSM. Ever the gentleman he walked me home and then walked me down the isle. Daddy wasn't happy. He put me through my last 4 years of high school and then uni. I joined up and I had to bring him home. At 3:21, on the Pedal Steel Guitar is my Uncle Dannie Jo Jones! He was such an Amazingly gifted musician, such natural talent. He left us far too soon, RIP. I wish I’d gotten the chance to know him better. He helped me pick out my first guitar at The Ciderville Music Shop, in Powell, TN. 😁🎶🎸 A Fender Squire with the Sunburst pattern, in 1995. I wish I had kept it, even if I rarely played it. The Bellamy Brothers are my all time Favorite Band!!

I was in Tenerife, 1981 it was my 21st birthday and I was with family. My mum asked the entertainer to sing a song for her daughter's 21st, and this was it. I've never forgotten it and have always loved this song. We still talk about it now. Happy, simple days. I turn 48 next week, boo. (Sept 2018)

Country Music are nice and intetesting to listen at. Learned to like this music during the early 70 's when i started my Military Career as a green young man. Everytime listening to Country Music brought me back to those 40 years younger. God Bless to all Country Music Fan.
This song brings back many memories. I remember my English teacher explaining what a 'double entendre' was and finally asked if we had heard this song. Funny how music really helped my English class that semester.

@Heidi Weber People don't use much "Double entendre" in French. I was raised 3-lingual (French, Dutch and English). I'm sure that with "Double entendre" Joseph means "Double sens". The latter is more common to say in French. That said he means that "Would you hold it against me" has a "Double meaning".
