Petworth, W Sussex, 8-Bells, 18-0-9cwt in E.
Petworth is the archetypical picturesque Sussex village. The parish church contains a magnificent complete Gillett & Johnston octave cast in 1924. Unfortunately for our visit the shutters were closed over the louvers, nonetheless, the sound outside did not disappoint. Definitely a peal of bells to check-out! Watch them being rung by the Devon Wednesday Evening Ringers Association, November 2019.
"Mash-up" footage commences by showing the bells being risen in peal. This is then followed by "Plain-Hunt" call-changes and then "Queens" call-changes. Footage concludes by showing the bells being lowered in peal.
