29:55 there’s so much truth in what you’re saying. SJM is Bloomsbury big cash cow after JKR and so I think she needs to get checked more and not just do whatever she wants. I feel like there’s a lot of things Sarah changes for plot conveniences. (Her explanations of mates in CC so that Bryce and hunt can be mates). And just the plot issues /errors alone. One reader on reddit pointed out that SJM had written at one point that Silene had one of the dead trove items, and then she had written the wrong dead trove item in later chapters. This series could’ve been good but it needed a lot more work behind the scenes.

I agree in that this book has been quantity (page numbers) over quality, which really sucks because I LOVE CC and I was so excited to read this one.

Honestly I’ve felt the same way about SJM books since she fished the ACOTR trilogy. I didn’t enjoy the Novella or ACOSF, and DNFed Crescent City like ten time since it came out. And I was a SJM *girlie* like I liked TOG, but I just can’t do these new ones…

A vlog compared HOFAS to Manacled feels like a love letter to me.

So many processes & things in life take time - it makes complete sense to me that talking about it when it's in the "during" state would be helpful. I’m so glad I’m not the only one hating on Hunt… I had so much hope that he wasn’t gonna be end game because it’s very SJM to pair the protagonist with someone else first and then her mate/ true love… Honestly hope he dies in the next book… sorry not sorry

This is so real - Hunt and Bryce are the most BORING couple SJM has written and Ruhn and Lidia the most compelling imo
