This is a great exercise, but most people don’t load it up. They just use bodyweight. Add resistance to your bodyweight quad-builders and you'll not only get better at them, but your quads will have no choice but to start growing again.
You can do regular sissy squats (without the bench) using a weighted vest, or with a spare hand holding a dumbbell or kettlebell. And, bench sissy squats can be loaded anyway you'd like - holding some dumbbells or kettlebells, a weighted vest, or a couple of resistance bands. - Gareth Sapstead
