This is the power of our Spirit. Acknowledgement of this within oneself is so much easier then we have been taught it should be. Just ask and they are here for us. We are their beloved children and work now in our mutual spirits interest for the better of all. We do not have to look up to them, just know they wish to be with us to support us, like brothers and sisters. That is who they are, and what we are in truth. All One.

The value of this Indigenous Knowledge System can not be calculated by the values of this European Axiological framework. Ancestor Malidoma spoke of the power of silence. We must learn and be cleansed by divine silence and relationship with the Ancestors... Maa Kheru-Ase'

I may be a white guy but I believe that this is wisdom that we can all benefit from regardless of our race we all have ancestors I thank Dr. Some for sharing his wisdom I think I really needed this in my life.

When I was a little girl, growing up in China, my grandmother host ceremonies to connect our ancestors every traditional holiday. I didn’t understand the reason then.

The ceremony goes as family cooked abundant meal together, we invite ancestors to come and enjoy the meal first, telling them what’s going on in our life and wish them helping us in life. Then we ate the meal.

I’m an African transwoman and I’ve always felt a connection with my ancestors. Which is why I don’t subscribe to Christianity or Islam like my relatives were trying to make me do. I get a lot of dreams and messages from the other side.

You do not need to invoke the ancestors with shameful legacy. What normally happens is that you can acknowledge them when pouring libation. You need to travel to a village in Ghana or Nigeria to understand as it can be complicated for me to break it down.

The thing he's getting at, that he describes at about the 17 minute point and beyond, is that once your spirit leaves the body and goes into the higher dimensions, suddenly those of us who did awful things while we were here on earth, and didn't have the capacity to see their awfulness while they were here, they see the awfulness of what they did. When we contact them, if they did indeed make it to the other dimensions (my understanding is that not everyone does right away) they are eager to give us the support we need to live lives that rectify their mistakes. They become a source of wisdom and love for us who are still here. The divine dimensions are a place of higher perspective and will show many things we don't see or understand here in our limited experience. It's exactly those "dead" people that we blame for our troubles, who have the insight and energy now to help us be better.
