This song is dedicated to all in Asheville, NC and the surrounding areas. On a trip through Asheville years ago, we were able to spend some time with family who lived in the mountains. With such beauty and solace we realized that not many people have spent time in some of these remote and beautiful locations. We hope this song can remind people that it's not always what you hear or see in the news, but rather some things are well unknown.
We also feel deeply connected to what happened and bringing about awareness and resources to help Asheville - because we have labored on our craft for over a decade with very little attention. Now that we have had our video reach millions, we hope to continue supporting the incredible people and commented affected by Helene.
Our experience in Asheville from Sept. 25-29th changed our lives forever. It made us realize how delicate our life really is. How quickly the veil of technology and society can disappear in a disaster. This ultimately brings us back to each other. The people we met along our journey lifted our hearts and spirits and reminds us that the American Spirit is alive and well in the people. And in times of crisis it is your neighbor, your friend, a local volunteer that will save us. In this revelation we take much hope.
This song was originally performed for our last video but we wanted to share this performance as a stand alone video as well. We hope you enjoy it.
