I was digging the building displacement addon, however, I couldn't find it or it seems they took it down, but it's actually easy to do now that I think of it. In the process of experimenting I thought of a bunch of ideas that I can use the displacement technique. I can take those ideas and have chat GPT write a python script for an addon, maybe I'll drop back by and give y'all an update soon as I get it all set up. Not sure why the building displacement addon is gonna but with a little ingenuity anything is possible. I'll keep ya posted if anything!

Oh It definitely can but u need to have basic knowledge in code even then i did try it and made a simple addon for fractals but it's just very basic and i just can't get very further without some knowledge of python ...
It can't create a faster render engine, no. That's quite a complex task, and even seasoned programmers need a lot of knowledge to make it happen. An entire add-on? Depends on how complex it is, and also on how much knowledge about the domain is easily found online. It can create simple ones, but for anything more involved, that won't happen yet. The main stumbling block for you will be your level of knowledge of the logic behind programming. Even if you don't know any Python, if you have the mindset, are able to think what needs to happen in a program, then you might get somewhere, but without that, probably not. Some of the hype gives people unrealistic expectations. Complete non-programmers can't just type "write me a faster render engine" and click enter; that's a pipe dream (get better hardware instead ;). I think it's a great assistant for learning how to program though.
I understand how these addons can help, but if you really want to get good at blender and modeling, its best to model these things by yourself, otherwise, who would hire you just to use addons.
