I LOVE my Casio Royale! Great vacation watch, I program in the time zones and it's just a press of the button when I great off the plane. Plus it looks great, I love the retro-futuristic vibes, and the little world map is just cool! 🤩
Out of 20 something casios I owned, I found myself returning to the AE 1300 and WS1600 the most. Feels just right on most occassions, and I'm a big sucker for those dot matrix displaying the day. W217 is going third on the rotation, mostly when I'm out for a dinner with the missus, when I just need a small simple and sleek watch to tell me time.
How about a written list of the watches? If you are feeling very generous you could even time stamp them. I can't keep track of what model you're talking about.
Excellent list Russell 👌 I paid £13.28 from Argos for my MRW-200H 😁 The Js and Ks adapters for the Casio Royale will fit it, but they cost more than the watch 😂 It had to be done so I could easily swap nato straps 😉
Great list of course. That A1100 beckons to me at least once a week to purchase it. I saw someone put it on a dark tan leather strap, and it looks the business. Thanks!
I Totally agree with you with the TRT-110h, AE1500h, AE-1200h, MRW-200h, DW290, DW5600 & W86. Excellent watches & I might get the CA-53 soon. I know that you have listed them before, but I also add the DW291h & DW6900. I would be cool that you wife could do her own favorite watches picks Cool Countdown.
New subscriber here Love your energy mate I hope you keep making casio videos im in love with them. Got watches over a thousand pounds but i wear my casios most of the time for some reason haha
got an AEQ-110 the other day, looks like a G Shock with both analog and (albeit tiny) digital time, but it has a world timer, loomed hands and 3 alarms. Not to mention a stopwatch and countdown timer all for under £25. It also has space for storing 30 phone numbers (well somebody might do it). Trouble is, I want a G Shock now.
Amazing list MWC! Any of these would be a fine addition to any collection. I’ve got 3 out of the 10 you listed in my 15 watch Casio collection. I need to up my game! 😂
I love a good budget casio. I often use a pencil eraser to remove some text to clean up the bezel a little. The A500 is my current favorite budget model.
Oooooh Professional Trekker are Ya?.. 😊 Just had a snoop at the G-MS.. bit Girly for me...but!!.... I'd be impressed spotting that on Yer wrist.. not bad.
@@mrmagoo.3678 Nope I'm just solar nut and love to read the statistics. Also I'm bored of Thai people drooling over G-Shock and abandon the rest of the line.
@@ahha6304 Solar in Thailand is a great idea.. it'll be supercharged! :D I noticed quite a few G-Shock's last time I was in Thailand as it goes.. very popular there.
@@mrmagoo.3678 It is supercharged, I also have Edifice Yokohama and several Eco-Drive and I have to say I am impressed with battery level, at least, I can put them for suntan once a month
Excellent list, no way to include them all, but my W800H daily shouldn’t be overlooked. The very legible negative display with green illuminator light is awesome. Also, strap habit Timex straps will fit the royale and a few other budget Casios.
The only issue I have with the MWR200 is that it comes in several colors. Instead of having just 1 Casio to buy, I ended up with a case full of the same watch!
I would love to see a budget stainless steel watches, Ive been trying to find a video like this but just cant find one and I think you are the best for the job. Loved your video btw.
Great Vid MWC. I recently changed the strap on my casioak so had the stock spare. I for some reason decided to stick it on the W86 and it makes it look alot better! Like a mini G
Not exactly on topic for this video, but... I have a couple of Casio analog watches that came with plastic bands. Nice watches, but the bands both failed within a couple of years; and replacement bands cost about a buck short of a new watch. Are the plastic bands on the Casios MWC is reviewing here more durable than that? I'm reluctant to buy any Casio with a plastic band.
I’m a massive fan of the SGW-100B. I really think you should review one on the channel. To me it’s a Gshock for people who don’t like stiff Gshock bands, or maybe it’s a poor man’s Protrek.. either way I would wear this over most of the more expensive models because it’s more comfortable and the right size for me. The watch has full electro lume, 200m water resist… and a compass. Honourable mentions: W800h - all that info! I use it as a work beater and I love having all that info accessed quickly. Was never a fan of broken up displays with windows and circles which seem kind of frivolous. I recently dug out my orange/black MW-240-4B which I feel is in the same family as the MRW200h. It’s nowhere near as robust with no protruding bezel but it just makes me smile and hits every single marker which is crazy for a quartz. It is, for me the definition of cheap and cheerful and has held up to a few heavy knocks.
The TRT-110H is a beast of a watch that easily stands up with G-Shocks. My only complaint was the garbage plastic buckle it came with, so I replaced it with the metal buckle from my Duro strap.
@cnkilts I did get an AE 1500, a black positive display, great watch, rugged and tough, large easy to read display, great backlight, 5 alarms, lots of watch for the money.
Love a good Casio. I have 12 and counting. They're so addictive! You're right about the Casio Royale. I love mine and it was the watch that re-started my recent collection. Reminded me of my childhood. I've just bought an A168 with the gold, red and white fascia and it's so cool and retro. The missus just rolls her eyes now when I tell her I've got another one. 😂
What got me into casios a few minths agoe was the royale. I just happened to need a cheapy to put on my wrist and they stacks of them on clearance for $3. I bought 10 lol. I recently graduated to a gbx-100 NS and tye MIP display has ruined me. But watching this makes me want to try some of the chrome ones. Especially that last one. Looks super retro futuristic.
My fav Casio at the moment is a casio gsteel GST-B300-1A. its originally a synthetic strap watch with a black bezzel and red seconds hand. I just put it on a steel bracelet from a similar model and I'm in love. The weight feels perfect and for an ani-dig gshock its surprisingly thin. I never thought I'd find a gshock I'd want to 24/7 like my titanium protreks but I do with this one now, I find it that comfortable. Now to save up for the highway robbery prices casio charges for combi bracelets. I want to put my green dialed PRW-61 protrek on a bracelet. Im just not a fan of how synthetic straps feel on my wrist.
My favourite is my AE1200 with an upgraded case and crystal on a custom leather strap - not so budget but very cool... But a very close second is a CASIO that doesn't get much atention the AQ-S810W-1A3VDF. This tough solar ana-digi can be purchased for around AU$80. Come in a few colour variations but I love the gold tone accents on my version.
Another great upload Russ! I can vouch for the A1100D! Its hard to switch back to my plated casios sometimes and also the AE1200. A friend of mine typically wears the W86 and even had the rubber band ripped & replaced. That one and the DW290 are just hard to forget. I didn't know about the WS-1700, what a watch! Its a numbers game.
I just got the 218 for a work watch and i love it. Doesn't go as unnoticed as the f91w, but i like the bigger display and amber backlight. I really like that moonphase one with all the cool colored filters
My favorite below $100 Casio is the AQ-S810. Solar powered! Big legible dial. My favorite Casio over $100 is my ProTrek Safari PRG-600. Also Solar with a big legible dial. Super comfortable and feels just right on my 8” wrist. Probably wear this watch more than any…… Not exactly a new model. Came out in 2016? But you can still buy them new. Got mine at Costco!
AE 1500 ... Impulse purchased about a month ago. Love it. I could use it as a wall clock, the numbers are so big! Wonder what it would look like in MIP? Yow! Great show, Russell!
thanks for this!! just ordered a WS1700h - hard to find in Oz - but found one for half price. Didn't know it existed. Needed a new tide watch and this one ticks the boxes - looks like a g-shock, looks like a casio royale, is black, the screen is readable and better than my AMW-710 which has a fake bezel!! It seems to be able to take a bull bar too! If only my GWG-1000 mudmaster also had a tide function, and moon phase..and rotating bezel..
I had an AE 1500. The time display is huge but I still couldn't read it in low light without my glasses. My bad. But I really didn't like that the time wasn't displayed while in stopwatch or count down timer modes. I gave it away and got the round version of the Casio Royale. I like that it has four alternative time zones.
Unfortunately the lugs on the AE1500 break pretty easily if you stress them too much. I was starting a chainsaw next to a work bench and brushed the watch against the bench by accident. The lugs on one side broke off the watch. Other than that though it’s an awesome watch if you need something cheap, easy to disinfect, and super fast to read.
Excellent content. I've 90% of the watches you mentioned and would say 100% with confidence, they are worth every penny.... Can't beat a Casio beater 😂
I own, and love the TRT-110... in fact, it was my favorite Casio watch until I got the GD-350 G-SHOCK, which has now taken over as my favorite, but the TRT 110 still ranks up there
Two more Casios that aren't the usual suspects are the Databank calculators. Many styles and colors for between $30-50 USC with a great backlight. The other is the A700, the poor man's A1000. Of course we could go through Casios whole catalog but these two are my picks. Excellent videos as always my friend.
CASIO GW-7900-1CR & DW-291HX-1AV (the DW-291HX-1AV great for elephant leg size wrists like I have) are the only two Casio's you need too own - both about perfect. I love your video's by the way - great fun and are we married to the same wife?
Hello, what do you think is better to buy casio ws-1500h or ws-1700h. Question about the model w-740-1v, does it have any value and what is it like in your opinion.
I'm a flight attendant and I'm sold on that world time feature. It's so annoying to be changing the times and dates back and forth in my watches, clear next purchase
Russell, did you ever get an SKXMOD stainless steel case for one of your AE1200 Casios? I still enjoy mine. Not a scratch on it thanks to the DLC coating.
Casio watches under US$30 are good, but the resin strap......garbage. If you wear it daily and the resin strap still intact until the second year, you lucky.
