Great information and explanation. I found quarter turn hooks a few years ago, worked great for blue gill and they wouldn't swallow it, but can't find them anymore.
Awesome presentation and excellent info, one quick question , you have excellent information in which hook to use for type of fishing, however what size hooks? seem to work best that seems to be the confusing part, Thanks again always looking forward to new videos.
Thanks! I didn’t really have time to get into sizes in this video but as a general rule, I use the smallest hooks I think I can get away with without compromising the hook gap after hooking the bait. Smaller hooks generally penetrate easier and hamper the baits action less, so I usually err on the small side.
Can you tell me why the hook eye is turned towards the hook point for baitholder hooks? Seems most hooks it is turned outward or is straight. Seems like that would be worse for hook ups
