We tackled assembling the bike as a family project. ru-vid.comUgkxzg0clhbtRf2gGxPkVETFKJJKGqdsorQu The package is heavy, but I have 2 teen boys that were able to move it. The written instructions were great- we didn't need to watch the videos, but it was good knowing that the option was there if we needed it. After we were able to get it set up, the boys each rode 3 miles and I rode 8 and the bike stayed quiet. The display is easy to reset, and you can put it on whichever setting you are using (time, distance, calories, etc). I will say that my butt is a little sore from the seat, but that could be because I haven't rode in a while. While it is comfortable for me, it was not comfortable with the seat position for my friend (could not move the seat back far enough and he slightly looked like a kid riding a tricycle that he had outgrown). He also said that the seat hurt his manly parts. We are going to look for a different seat that will be compatible with this bike for him.I did purchase the Wahoo Cadence sensor and strapped it to the crank of one of the pedals. This will sync with my Apple Watch, iPhone and will import data in to my Health app. Wahoo does have other sensors available other than cadence. I can also keep either my phone or my iPad on the display and they both feel pretty secure.

The $200 difference is worth it, 500%. I find Assault bikes to be quite shaky when going fast on them. The Schwinn AD Pro is such a smooth, quiet ride, and it feels so much more stable. Having used both at different boxes, I think the Schwinn is definitely worth every dollar.

Had the Assault Air Bike on order but cancelled before it shipped when I got an email notification from Rogue that the Echo are back in stock. I placed an order right away and the rest is history. It’s supposed to arrive in a couple of days. I cannot wait!

I'm in this business for over 20 years. The Renegade air bike is by far the best and most durable I have seen. Probably not so popular in the US but if you can find it, get it. Makes all the other air bikes look flimsy.

I dont know why all the top air bikes dont have the vertical handles that you can grab in addition to the regular horizontal handles. I used one for several months with the vertical handle option and I was constantly switching between the two to work different muscles.

Coop - need your help brother. I’ve tried to buy the echo bike since December and it keeps selling out within 5 minutes, I feel like Rogue is fanning the hype at this point. If you were in my position would you hold out for the Echo Bike or just go ahead and get the AD Pro? I’m a huge fan of concept 2 but looking to rehab my AC tear with this bike and feel like I should really have something that has arms otherwise I’d be all over the Bike Erg but maybe I’m overthinking this and should just stick to Concept 2? Echo bike is not in stock until February now, any advice would be appreciated, Sir.

I recently bought 3 for my gym after watching your reviews. Clients love them ! Quick question on calories, have you noticed the difference in how quick calories burn on the airdyne monitor in comparison to the assault ? Thanks Chris

The Assault Bike is about 40% harder in terms of calorie output.

The AD 8 pro have a 26 fan blades / others have 3 or 4 times less ,according to that the power in period of workout is more efficient on AD8 ..

Assault is bad at math. If you calculate energy input (calories) using the average watts it gives you over the time you pedaled it is significantly higher than what the bike tells you for calorie input. The concept2 (i have the rower, not the bike) calculates correctly.

I've seen the new Assault. The problem though is it still uses the same chain system. The only differences is it has a beefed up body which isn't what breaks down on the Classic Assault.

Coop, question regarding usage of Concept 2 Air bike. In your opinion, do you think it’s possible to use it like a spin bike (Peloton, Schwinn, etc) and do the follow along rides on the Peloton app. Just attach a Wahoo cadence sensor and since we can control resistance. The question is if Schwinn has improved on their mechanical system from the AD6? The AD6 was hands down one of the worst airdynes they’ve made and it also had a belt system. The belt has grooves and when he grooves deteriorate, then you get major pedal slippage. I factor this into cheap materials that they outsource now as well. Thanks for all your awesome reviews. Let me know your thoughts.

That's a great point. The AD6 is not a great bike and is one I've never recommended. Schwinn went back to the drawing board and the AD Pro is vastly superior.

I have an AD 6. The spring- loaded release button on the shaft under the seat is stuck with the button caught under the shaft. I have tried evy

The AirFit is an awesome bike. However, it doesn't have as good of a monitor and the price is higher than I think it should be.

Read the 1 star reviews of all the Schwinn Airdyne on AMZN and you'll read they are JUNK. This guy doesn't know anything about Schwinn.

@@getstrongby4038 Yes, Schwinn makes junk now. I had a Schwinn Airdyne Evolution and the left handle broke after 3 years. Look at the Amazon Schwinn Airdyne 1 star reviews. They are really bad.
