Surinamese has lots of Indians who were bought there by the Dutch to work on the fields. There is why the food has so much Indian influence. But, I recommend Tokoman as well. It is more Chinese-Indian mixed Surinamese food.

I love the Suriname Roti! First time I tried it was in Alphen a/d Rijn. I was sad when the store closed down but now I am excited about trying out Roopram Roti! Can't wait to be in Netherlands 😊.

I was just there. I was in the line for Winkel. But weather was horrible. I'll be sure to check that sandwich. I also found a great cafe where the locals eat. Great video.

Thanks for the advise on the Albert cuyp! That fried fish was great. Luckily your video popped up in my hotel room the day before I left. But I don’t think the roti is as good as a burrito!

Went to the bacon place today and had the hans but she said I need the jordon. I guess the hans has no bacon so I added it to the hans. The lady was nice. Than I went to the apple pie place which was really good.

Amsterdam and most of The Netherlands have a great number of Indonesian restaurants. Not Chinese, Vietnamese or Thai, but Indonesian due to our domination of also that country too for almost 3 centuries. You should never ditch a good traditional Indonesian restaurant and Toko. Unfortunately they do disappear rapidly or other pseudo Asian restaurants try to copy without any success.

The ginger 'tea' is an absolute scam. It looks rediculous, tastes bad and is just a hippie way to tell you you're doing a great thing cleansing your body. It does not. Better use the ginger for some good Asian cooking instead of this horrific drink.
