Well done to the algorithm to brought me here. Looking up the catalogue of Steinhart, I would go for the Ocean 2. Didn't know they have such large choices. Thanks for the video 👍
I have this and love the watch. But on the clasp, no it's not only yours. I have 3 steinharts and each clasp has the same problem you noted. I emailed them saying they should redesign. But they replied that no one ever complains about it. 😂😅😅
Great video! Cool watch man. Have you checked out the Cronos explorer from watch dives? I just picked one up to see if I’d like to get a real explorer at some point here. I think I’m sold..
Yeah I checked it out. I think cronos will be more of an explorer homage than Steinhart. Just a personal thing but I really like the dial and the layout of the logo on Steinhart which made me choose it over. Enjoy the watch!!
@@slimwrist1143 Very true, you’re right the Cronos is a direct copy while the steinhart has its own take on a similar design which really is very different. Now I have to get the steinhart too 🫣
I've put mine on a jubilee- style bracelet which gives the watch a bit of a fresh look. You're right about the cashback: it protrudes too much and detracts a little from the overall aesthetic. All in all though, a good price for a watch with a Swiss movement- elabore grade.
@@nosceteipsum997 I am thinking of emailing Steinhart to see if the protruding caseback is due to the size of the movement. If not I wonder if I can just replace it with a generic one that might fit the case?
@@slimwrist1143 An interesting question. Looking at the watch, it appears as if the rear of the case also protrudes, meaning that the caseback "bulks out". This would suggest, perhaps, that this is related to the size of the movement. It would be interesting to hear what Steinhart comes back with. Goodluck with your enquires!
@@nosceteipsum997 Steinhart didn't seem to understand my request and just replied that they don't modify their watches and if it need replacement, just send it over. Oh well.
I have both Smiths everest and steinhart Adventure, and I need to mention that steinhart is a far better watch than Smiths Everest. However, it is the same clasp problems make me disappointed.
