Silent watcher here but I’m a huge lover of your pod, and og RU-vid vids! Fahrenheit 451 definitely needs to be read as a physical copy as opposed to an Audibook. You will love it. Please tell us where you got your shirt from? You’re glowing !!

I think you’d enjoy Bunny by Mona Awad. Kind of a prep school sci-fi horror vibe

Omggg I can’t believe you’re reading vernon subutex. I wonder if the issue is the translation because in French it’s gripping in how realistic and gritty the characters are. I don’t know if that comes across in the English version but I hope so!!

When I was reading Norwegian Wood, my Japanese roommate told me that in Japan Haruki Murakami is considered a sellout and he just markets himself really well to the western world as cultured literature. That kinda ruined him for me. 😅

If you like deeply romances that happens behind the scenes in Hollywood in the 50s, it’s a soft reding….Please, read The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid ❤

Have you ever read the Sex and the City book by Candace Bushnell? There's also a prequel called The Carrie Diaries. I read them last year and loved it! Might be something for you, too.

So glad youve done a video for this, been loving so many of your recommendations over the past year! I just finished Circe by Madaline Miller and loved it SO much, its a take on greek mythology with a female protagonist. Also, do you have a goodreads account?

Beloved is really good! You have a really eclectic reading taste, I like it! I tried reading Jitterbug Perfume and couldn't get into it. Still Life With Woodpecker was my philosophy professor's favorite book, but for some reason I couldn't get into it either. I'll try again one day, maybe on audio 🤣 Also love Chuck Palahniuk, but I haven't read anything from him lately, I liked Choke 10 yrs ago.

Oprah did on her podcast a series with Eckahrt a couple of years ago. Each episode was one chapter of "A New Earth" and they explain the chapter and answer questions. I loved it, maybe you would like it as well.

Vernon Subutex is great (at least the first one...) the second was a bit worse and the third was meh. But, I think you got the plot a bit twisted... it's about a guy who used to run a successful record shop that had to close and becomes homeless. I think it's trying to comment on neo-liberal economic policies, poverty and gentrification in paris and so on. The writer is an insanely cool French woman, you should read up on her!

I think you’d like Maeve Fly by CJ Leede. It’s such a quirky horror! 🪰

I wonder if you read Emily Ratakowski's book? How does Julia Fox's compare to that one? After reading Emily's and continuing to follow her career I couldn't help but feel like she was just writing what people wanted to hear...
